Rips off hinges or splinters frames
I really wanted this to work.At first I was very surprised how big it was. Somehow I was expecting something smaller.I've used the smaller adjustable hinge wrench just fine, so thought I'd try this because the reviews were so great.Wrong.So I know what I'm doing, but this thing doesn't slide over regular hinges easily, Even tho it has 2 different sizes.I guess it's purely for commercial doors. But even on those, it doesn't fit well over the hinge.Because there's the door frame to consider, and it's in the way. When I did eventually get it to fit over a hinge, which way to pull? With the adjustable wrench you adjust each knuckle individually, because each knuckle needs bending in opposite directions. With this tool, you bend ALL knuckles the same way. How on earth does that achieve anything. The door knuckles typically need adjusting away from the frame, and the frame knuckles need adjusting away from the door.I'm stumped how they're are so many positive reviews when the concept is flawed. If you adjust all the knuckles one way, then you literally exaggerate the problem. And if you adjust it the other way, the hinges rip off the frame. There's actually only one way to adjust due to the angle of the opening cut on the tool.I couldn't get it to work. The only reason I'm keeping it is because it's awesome for turning off stuck water valves, of which I do often.

It does the job
But that’s how I got it. My guess is it’s been used, scratched up and repainted. I’m not sure if they will do anything for me or if I should do something about it.

Works great! Doesn't damage finishes!
Simple to use and works great! Long enough to adjust hinges with ease but not too long to make storage difficult. Doesn't mar hinges or cause damages to finish, a real time saver. I wish I purchased one sooner.

This will do the job.
I have used Hinge Doctor tools for over three decades in my job. I'm retired and Hinge Doctors are costly. There are several brands that are designed the same and will do the job. They will adjust certain problems with ease. I went with this and you can see the quality issues. A bad job of painting it. Almost went with a similar, another brand that was blue. I should have for the two bucks more. You can see the blue one has a shiny paint job. Sparkwhiz is matte. Debating. Should I return or take the time to paint it better. Both take time. Hmm.

Works Great, Just Be Careful.
This is my second one. The first one snapped fairly quick, but it definitely helped out tweaking hinges.

Well made but pay attention to the commercial part
This seems well made but even the smallest size will not work for any non commercial doors. So a waste of money for me but it was my own fault 🙄
