Seems to be a quality tool at this price point.Sharp out of the box with a good carry system.I love DC53 Steel so far with my experience.I cannot give this a perfect score as it does have some things I would prefer with Geometry and overall design, I do believe they should have left more of the tang explosed for better splitting ad the handle tends to obstruct the path of larger logs when splitting, also the hammer poll side does bot need to be as raised I would have preferred more wait on the blade side of the ask, but it is definitely a great tool overall especially for the price.

This item in black, was received very timely and it is exactly as advertised, except that it is wickedly sharp! The edge is at an angle that will probably keep that sharpness even after considerable usage. Very well made product. The Kydex sheath is a perfect fit and well constructed. I’m very pleased!

The hatchet is OK even though the edge chips easily (will blame the user for that).The retaining strap snapped off within minutes of use while hiking so the hatchet is now useless aside from random projects around the yard.Second purchase, failed on first trip... Not happy
