Does the mist that comes out fall so the below surface get wet. We have alot of hardwood and dont want to reck it?

I do not have a problem with mist soaking the floor below, which happens to be carpet. I utilize the mist extension tube and monitor the room humidity and adjust the humidifier output to keep the room at 40%. I trust this helps in your decision.

Yes, the tank is so big that you can put your hand directly into it for cleaning.

You can use regular tap water. BUT distilled water will be recommended.
