🌟 Spread the Love, Not the Allergies!
Beyond the Equator's 5 Seed Butter is a creamy, allergy-friendly alternative to traditional peanut butter, made from a blend of sunflower, chia, flax, pumpkin, and hemp seeds. This 16 oz jar is non-GMO, gluten-free, and vegan, offering 8 grams of protein and essential fatty acids while being low in carbs. Sustainably produced, it uses significantly less water than almond butter, making it a smart choice for health-conscious consumers.

You want no-nut spreadable like peanut butter?
This was something I bought to test out how I liked it. I was getting tired of pb&j and wanted to changeup. This is pretty good, hard to spread, has a distinctive sunflower seed taste to it too. The color was off-putting to the children, but they liked it when they didnt see it by itself. I paid quite a bit for it and that's really the only downside. I may buy again in the future, but it is just too expensive if you can tolerate peanuts. I don't feel like they overcharged as the ingredients are just more expensive than pb. Overall Happy with purchase.

Interesting...surprising
I really wasn't sure what to expect, other than looking for a peanut butter alternative. I've tried almond butter which was very hard, perhaps because it was sugar free. This seed butter was sealed, however when I peeled it off I noticed it was quite "soupy". I stirred, reaching to the bottom of the container, and that helped a little. Next, I put it in the refrigerator hoping to solidify it some...no luck. I will say with the soupy consistency, and the dark green pea color it was quite unappetizing to look at. The taste was bland, and I couldn't discern any of the seeds individually.

Addicted
I'm addicted to the seed butter. It's creamy with just enough texture.

wonderful addition to smoothies (and helped restore gastric health)
First and foremost, this has a smooth and creamy texture and is a perfect addition to green smoothies. I did stir it a bit because I find that the creamier part of the butter does move to the top of the jar over time, but it's definitely not like some nut butters that separate. There was none of that with this product. As far as taste and texture- it makes my smoothies taste creamier and richer, and keeps my energy up longer during my swims, so that's definitely a great aspect of this product. The reason I purchased it because I was desperate to find a healthy, non-nut based, vegetarian fat source for my diet. I'm a child of the 80's, and "non-fat" was big health craze back then, and I never shook it off. Now that I'm in my mid-40's, and I started having relatively severe bouts of IBS-C, I knew I needed to force myself to find a good source of fat that I could eat every day and could eat with a clear conscience and not wonder if it was doing more harm than good. Besides olives (which contain a ton of sodium) I really eat very little fat, and I knew that I needed to include more healthy fat in my diet.Since I'm new to this whole "butter" fats thing, I did a bit of research and every nut-butter and non-nut-butter I looked at had at least one ingredient (sunflower oil, coconut oil, etc.) that at least one major group of doctors said could be bad in large amounts. Finally, I stumbled upon "Beyond the Equator" and there were no ingredients that raised any red flags, so I decided to try it.It's wonderful. Within a few days of including 1-2 tsp into my morning smoothie, my stomach issues improved pretty significantly. I know that might be TMI, but for those that are in pain, adding this to your diet might help. I've tried both medicine AND food to try and correct it, so to have hit upon something that made a significant, noticeable difference is pretty epic.I'm not sure about the impact it has had on my body weight yet. I'll be honest and say that adding 20 grams of fat to my daily diet is scary stuff for someone who has spent the last 40+ years thinking fat was something to be something to avoided at all costs. For now, I'm just focusing on the fact it makes me feel a little bit better, and that's worth a tremendous amount to me.Highly recommended for taste, texture, and health benefits.

Not good, not bad, not peanut butter.
I used once and have not again. It did not taste right to me, not bad, not good, just not peanut butter which can not be replaced. I was looking for a more diverse/healthier version to replace peanut butter, but I keep reaching for the peanut butter instead of this. I’m not sure what ‘sheerness’ means, but as far as smoothness, it’s what to expect from a natural nut butter, which I’m used to. (Anything too smooth and easy to spread is strange to me)

Super Nutrition, Spreads OK, Nice Flavor
Any kind of a butter made from seeds is likely to be highly nutritious, with 6 grams of protein for each 5 grams of carbs this product does not disappoint. It also is high in fat which is a good thing in this case because it's all healthy fats and fats are required nutrients. I'm disappointed they chose to use a euphemism for sugar, "dehydrated cane juice", just call it what it really is - SUGAR. the second ingredient by weight. I still defend this as wholesome and nutritious. It is definitely gluten-free as I would have become violently ill if it was not. It also seems to be vegan, my other requirement.I use it on toaster waffles, it spreads a bit more thickly than generic peanut butter. It seems to be about twice as expensive as peanut butter, which is still my preferred topping for toaster waffles.

Great Texture, Solid Flavor
Ive always been a big fan of peanut butter—I ate PB sandwiches constantly for lunch as a child, PB spread on apple slices or granola bars, more Reese’s than I’d like to count—and even to this day going to town on a jar of Jif is still a go-to snack. For that reason, and having not particularly liked seed butters in the past, I was skeptical to try this one. But it had been recommended by a friend who’s opinion in food I really trust, so I gave it a go.The butter surpassed my expectations on every front. The biggest one being the texture—hands down the closest to PB I’ve seen for a seed butter. Really smooth, not at all gritty like sun butter and other alternatives can be. For me, this creaminess is the best part of this product.Second, the flavor is solid. The roasted sunflower comes through strongly (in a good way). As someone who isn’t used to a lot of the seeds used in the 5 seed butter, it can take a few bites for me to adjust to the flavors. But I quickly do, and I like what I find once I’m a couple of bites in. There is a bit of a thin sweetness to it that almost tastes like a sugar-substitute, although it was light enough not to bother me (even as someone who dislikes the flavor of sugar substitutes).Overall, if you like PB and are looking for a healthier and/or allergen free alternative—or like me, just want a bit of variety in your butter game—then I’d recommend giving 5 seed butter a shot.

It's expensive buuuuut
It isn't cheap but given what's in there, the price is fair. The stuff is also tasty unlike some nut alternatives.

An excellent substitute
My family has allergies and so peanut butter is out. This seed butter was very tasty and surprisingly similar to peanut butter. I enjoyed it.

Salty!!!!
At first I really liked this butter, although it has too much sugar, but as you get closer to the bottom, all you taste is SALT and nothing else, very unpleasant!. I was going to try unsweetened variety, but afraid it will be too salty, do not recommend this product
