Stay away. Awful user experience, terrible final model.
The scan area is only about 2.5" cubed. The user interface is totally unintuitive and difficult to use. Once you finally get the scanner to pick up the object, it takes a dozen passes to actually grab all the details. After you fight with alignment (and fail a dozen more times), you end up with a blobby mess with the detail of the Staypuffed Marshmallow Man's shadow.Stay far away from this product.

PRICELESS tool for 3D design and rapid prototyping
The media could not be loaded. The Seal Lite scanner is a true game-changer in the world of prototyping and design workflows. Opting to challenge its capabilities, I selected a relatively large item that pushed the boundaries of the Seal Lite's scanning envelope. Remarkably, it flawlessly captured the details of an engine intake manifold, enabling me to effortlessly generate a digital model with precise geometry. In a surprisingly small package, the Seal Lite packs a punch with its formidable scanning power.Considering its impressive performance and the reasonable cost, this tool is hard to overlook. I highly recommend the Seal Lite to anyone looking to venture into 3D scanning. It stands as a compelling choice for those starting their journey in this exciting field.

Updated - Bad Cable: "The scanner failed to connect, please reconnect the device!"
Update: The scanner was sent with a bad cable. After having to go thru some time consuming troubleshooting with the company, the cable turned out to be defective and they sent me a new one.Since then, the scanner has been working very well and the software is also great. Overall happy with the purchase. Save your money and skip the turntable and tripod. You'll get better scans without them in my opinion. No matter how many times I try, it just says ""The scanner failed to connect, please reconnect the device!"I installed/uninstalled/reinstalled the software 3 times, even turning off the antivirus.I tried using different USB ports and different computers. The customer support telephone number just rings, nobody picks up.

Not usable
Very low quality product. Does not make a clean model.

This is not the one you want.
The mobile app has to be sideloaded because it's too sketchy to be on the official store. The PC app requires administrator access every time it starts. I had to open the camera view in the Windows Camera app because it was constantly dark when I used the JMStudio app alone. Aside from these scanner ecosystem issues, in the hardware I received, the camera that is supposed to capture the color is black and white and glitches every other time the scanner is restarted. I can solve the glitching by resetting, but it remains black and white across devices.Overall this is a terrible bit of tech and you would be better off using a free photogrammetry app.

Great for the price
The scanner works great. The software takes a bit to get it right but it just takes time to tweak the settings for the best results

3D Model Scanning un"Seal"ed
The scanner seems fairly sophisticated and could be very capable of scanning objects around 5" in diameter and height. The instructions for how to position for scanningz such as height and angle are not clear and when to rotate the table is not clear in the instructions. It was also unclear if ambient/external lighting would help or hinder the scan. Better instructions on how to use the scanner would be beneficial. The turntable is simple but reliable. It spins at a fixed rate, but seems to be perfect for the 3DMakerpro Seal to capture the various angles of the subject. the power is supplied via a USB Micro-B cable and only requires USB 2.0 power standard 5V at 0.9A, so you can use almost any USB port to power it.The included tripod/handle is robust, versatile, and well built. It allows for decent height adjustment in order to get above angles and straight on angles regardless of the surface you place your subject on.JMStudio software is very user friendly, easy to install and easy to operate. Maybe a bit more tailoring to the particular scanner hardware physical instructions.

Had some problems with this one
The software that came with the scanner did not want to work right. Not easy to deal with.
