This kit is very complete with everything you need to do things like add or remove links from a watch band. I decided I would try this task myself rather than pay a jewelry shop to do it. I am glad I did. With the help of this kit, you have everything you need to do it right at home. It comes with helpful directions. You will pay for this kit in just 1 time of making a change to your watch!!!! This kit helped me to feel confident with making these changes to my watches. I plan on doing it to several more. This kit is a great value for the money. It is well made and sturdy. You won't regret purchasing this kit!

So I lost my watch, wanted to replace it ASAP... I ordered one from a local merchant, but it was only available online. However, I could have the band sized at my local store once I received it. And then along came the Covid-19 issue. My local store is closed, as well as the nearby mall with a watch repair kiosk. I looked online for how to re-size a watch band yourself and it looked simple enough, but I was unable to utilize the cheapo method of using a paper clip so-o-o... they also showed how to use the tools specific to this purpose. I found this kit on Amazon, and 30 minutes after I received it I had a perfectly fitted new watch (less time than I would have invested going to the store/mall.) It only took as long as it did because I did have some difficulty lining the band up in the little gadget that pushes the pin out. If you are working with a smaller watch (narrower band) it doesn't sit quite right to move the "pusher" through. The platform it sits on is adjustable, but if you raise it too much it blocks the movement of the pushing piece. I got around this problem by standing the gizmo on end so that the side of the band could rest on the back end of the tool and keep it aligned while I pushed the pin out. I couldn't hold it steady enough without something to rest it on. I think a more sizable mens watch wouldn't present this problem. Once I got the hang of it, everything proceeded nicely and I'm very pleased with the product. It performs as it's meant to and the process can be completed without any damage (scratching) to the watch, which was very important to me. It's really nifty how it does the job just like shown on the UTube tutorials I'd checked out. There are more expensive kits available, but you really don't need anything more than what this one includes. The price, the speedy delivery, and the easily accomplished result make it worth having. It'll save me and my family members time and money in the future. Definitely recommend.

This comes in very organized. Explains step by step and has extra things in here for us 😁 packaging is lightweight, looks clean and simple. I used this to shorten four watches and more in the future. Definitely worth it and will save you trips and cost to fix your watches, ( and family and friends watches too) 👍🏼

The screw pin-press works very well as long as it's set up properly and you take your time with it. The watch link must be flat against the press (back and bottom), and the punch needle must be confirmed to be right against the pin. Tighten slowly, checking periodically to be sure the punch is still on the pin.I was able to resize my watch band in under 15 minutes. One pin seemed to be too snug for the press, so I used the supplied punch and hammer to tap it out manually.Again, with the pin-press especially you must be sure the punch is right on the pin before you begin tightening. If at some point you feel the pin is stuck and you fear damage to the press, stop, and use the plastic jig and tap the pin out with the punch and hammer.

I purchased this kit to remove a very stubborn pin from a bracelet I recently purchased. The bracelet is very nice but, it was a bit long for me and the clasps were too tight for me to easily put on and take it off. Tools came with the bracelet to remove the pins holding the links together, but, no matter how hard I tried, I could not remove the pin holding the clasps. As soon as I received this kit, I immediately used the thin punch and jewelers hammer to remove the pesky pin within minutes. I may not have to use the kit often but, when I do, I know (like today), it will be more than worth the expense of taking items to the jeweler for repair and/or the time and agrivation I will save trying to do repairs myself. Very happy with this purchase and would recommend it highly as a gift for anyone who tends to DIY.

This is my second time getting this product and I’m going to be honest with you. I really needed it to work because I like to repair my own watches, but it would bend if you put too much resistance on it and it broke on me on two separate occasions outside of that it was amazing to use until it broke.

We bought this years ago and everytime we need links taken out it’s our go to and works great. We’ve had it for 6 years and still going strong!
