How soft is this product? Is it soft like vaseline or a solid product? I prefer a balm similar in consistency to vaseline that is easy to apply.

It is a little firmer than vaseline but it is very easy to apply. I love this stuff and always have plenty in for the summer, I use when in the garden on summer evening as it keeps the bugs away brilliantly.
