Great product. Cheapest I could find as UK shops sell the much smaller rolls for the same price. Used with Hardie Backer cement boards in our bathroom.

Alkali resistant fiber tape or use regular drywall fiber tape?
Well I was humming and hawing whether or not to purchase this alkali resistant fiber tape or use regular drywall fiber tape on my up and coming cement board project. Reading some articles I did find out that alkali resistant tape will hold up better than the regular drywall fiber tape when it comes to using thinset. Some people stated they used regular drywall fiber tape and found no issues but if it slowly breaks down the problems may take years to notice. It's more money and of course the reason I pondered using the other. Alkali resistant is recommended by most manufacturers so in my mind its better to be safe than sorry.
