Lykke Driftwood 6 Crochet Hook (17 (12.75mm))

Beautiful hook, easy on the hand for us ‘knife’-hold crocheters, glides in and out of stitches so smoothly, nice point on top for poking into those occasionally ‘fiddly’ stitches. 🙂

This is a wonderful crochet hook. I love it. It makes smooth clean stitch and fits very comfortably. I received it sooner than expected and it was packed well as to not break. I recommend the seller and the hook.

I like the feel of this hook. It is very smooth and the yarn glides over it when making your stitches. What was difficult is that there is no flat space for a finger hold and with my style of holding the needle it kept rolling over making catching the yarn awkward and time consuming. I have the LYKKE knitting needles that I love which is why I wanted to try the crochet hooks.

I like the weight of it and the tip is well made. Easy to use.

I usually never give reviews. This crochet hook is smooth, good throat cut, and light weight. I took a chance with this hook and love it. If you only use wooden hooks like I...this will not disappoint.

Nothing but smooth wood so easy on your hands

It took some time. First, the head has a point that kept snagging my yarn. The lip of the hook part, kept snagging my yarn. I was very frustrated because I had also discovered the Lykke knit needles and they are divine. Here's what I did, I took an emory board (the kind you file your nails with) and very lightly ran it across the to of the hook a dozen time, very gently (1), then did the same thing to the hook lip and presto! No more snagging! :) I now LOVE THEM as much as I love the knitting needles. Now, as with the knit needles, I won't work with anything else. They take getting used to because the feel is different, but that's one of the best parts about this amazing hook. Its smoothness in the hand, it doesn't get cold like metal hooks. I'm now in the process of slowly building a full set of hooks and needles in this brand. I love them that much. Also, there is no finger rest like other hooks, but that doesn't bother me. I actually like that.

I have a hard time with certain types of yarns when using the usual plastic or resin 11.5 mm crochet hooks. I bought this wooden one and it's comfortable, smooth, and doesn't slow the pace at all. It's also warmer after a few minutes of use which is a definite plus. In short, I love it!
