Why did you choose this product over others?:I wanted something that looked and sounded the part. This one succeeds on both levels. I got it more for the scraper sound but with practice it will work well as a shaker. Being metal it of course has a different kind of sound compared to the wooden alternatives. I was going for the size and look because I didn't want something that looked "pre-school"... The only down side is the handle. It might feel a little sharp to some people but you can dress it with some tape if you're worried. The handle shape lets it sit nice in your waist band or belt when you're not using it and the scrapers strangely resemble metal afro combs so no shortage of replacements if you need them!

Well made really nice sound to it when played but not overly keen on the shaker element it's a bit to like rolling old washers in a washing machine. Looks ok for what it is seems ok well made
