Does the collar also go off automatically when he barks or will I always have to initiate with the remote?

This is intended to be initiated with the remote, which works great for my dogs because it enables them to retain their natural ability to bark at times when it’s OK or encouraged to bark (i.e. at night if they hear a noise etc). Someone responded “I wish I could tell you”....Really? I just can’t!.....Lol Why do people respond if they don’t know the answer? People be crazy!

Can the battery be replaced? What to do if transmitter not holding charge?

The battery I believe can be replaced. If you have any troubleshooting questions contact customer service. They’re fast and super helpful!

What is recommended setting for 55 pound dog gets aggressive at fence? 🐺

All dogs are different, and there is no way of knowing what level your dog would react to. The vibration setting might even do the trick for your dog. The best practice would be to find the lowest level that your dog reacts to in a calm environment, and that would be your base level. You can do this by starting from zero and move up by one. Once you have the base level of reaction, find the next level your dog will react to when distracted by the fence. To train your dog not to be aggressive by the fence, try to disrupt the behavior with the vibration or the lowest stimulation level before your dog gets aggressive by the fence.
