Q: does this product need refrigeration?

Our Biltong is entirely shelf stable and does not need to be refrigerated. Otherwise, we do recomend consuming within 2-3 days after opening.

Q: I enjoy consuming this product but would like some clarification on whether they use table salt or sea salt? The ingredients just say "salt."

We use minerally dense iodized salt in our marinade. This is more similar to traditional table salt in its purity. Although we love sea salt for some things, it has too many impurities and anomalies, and thus not up to our quality control standards for making Biltong. Q: How much protein is in each bag?

There are 32g of protein in each bag! Which means 16g per ounce. This is about 50% more than the average beef jerky! Being that we use no fillers and then naturally air dry the meat, does the lean top round beef protein stay in its most pure form!

Q: how long will they last in the package?

I have only had an opened package for 2 weeks before using it all. I normally use within a couple days. One package is 2 oz.
