Recommended for Family health, but enjoyable for young and too
Many years ago nutritionist at hospital recommended for hubby who had tongue replacement. Now my son with same oral cancer does 2 or 3 a day. And I do for breakfast just because I like it. And so does my great grandson when he visits. And it's terrific to send to a grandchild you want to enrich his/her diet. They might even give you a thank you call. It's tasty and has nutrition.

Lotsa Carnation!
We are not big milk drinkers in our house. I have three kids and a husband. Although we eat healthy, we are all very busy and often on the go. This drink mix is an awesome, yummy way to get nutrients. It is relatively low-cal and is a great way to guarantee my teenager eats breakfast. My toddler thinks it's a treat! My husband never ate breakfast until I started mixing this for him the night before in a travel mug. Now he shakes it and drinks it during his commute along with his coffee. It's obviously best to get all your nutrients from foods. However, that is not realistic for most families. This way I know my daughter and husband will get breakfast and its a "healthy chocolate milk" for my toddler and tween. These are three large canisters, but the shelf life is long. It is quite pricey in the grocery store, so this is definitely a good value.

great stuff
I have a sensetive enough stomach that I can't always tolerate solid food and Carnation has become an absolute godsend. Unlike some meal replacement drinks (Boost and Ensure come to mind), Carnation really lacks any kind of synthetic taste. In fact, I love the taste to death instead of previous options I've tried which were just something I had to endure to avoid passing out from not eating. It's got a great mix of vitamins and minerals that really do make it a meal in a glass. Wonderful product and, from a practical standpoint, it makes you more likely to actually have breakfast since it's so easy to mix up a glass and you can drink it while you're doing other parts of your morning ritual.

My 3 Kids Love It!
Every morning my children ask for "hot chocolate". That's what we've dubbed this since they were little. I heat a glass of milk in the microwave (just so it is a warm temp) then add about 3 tablespoons of CIB.It dissolves very easily in warm milk. Then I add a straw. They love drinking it through a straw. They get a healthy start EVERY morning and they don't even realize it. My younger son also asks for it when he wakes from his nap and if my other children see I'm making one for him they want one too. When their friends stay the night, they also ask for it in the morning. It really does have a great flavor, nothing that you have to get used to. We used to buy it in the extra large canisters from Costco, but they haven't carried it in years so we would wait for it to go on sale at the store. Now we found it here on amazon for the sale price all the time and free shipping to boot. I do wish they had it on the subscribe & save plan.

This is the best breakfast ever
I have had this stuff every morning for breakfast and sometimes for snacks for the last 8 years. It is getting very expensive though so I am constantly having to shop around to get a good price. At the time of this review this was the best price I could find... but the prices fluctuate. I have seen as low as $11.90 and as high as $31, so buyer beware.I like the canister better than the packets because then I can make just the amount I want instead of being locked in to either a cup or two cups. One canister lasts me for 8 - 2 cup glasses. This is a 3 pack canister deal. The only think I DON'T like about it is that the lip of the canister makes it hard to get all the powder out without making a mess, and sometimes the powder comes pretty fine and sometimes it is more grainy and it makes it harder to dissolve in the milk. But I like the taste, I like the fact it is quick and has nutritional value. I would recommend this to anyone.

It’s delicious nutrition
I don’t have a problem with the product, been using it for years, or the delivery. However, when I opened the box, there was breakfast all over the inside, on the other breakfast packages, and, obviously, on the packaging! Upon investigation, I found the seal was not adhered to the package. This has never happened in all the years that I have been using it. I have always purchased it from the supermarket so there was never an opened breakfast on the shelf. So, I’m not too happy. This has been discarded. So I have paid for three and can only use two! Just thought you should know.

Yum
My kids do not like to eat breakfast often, but they do like chocolate milk, so this product solves a problem for the most part. Of course it would be better to eat a meal, but this is definitely better than nothing at all. It tastes great, is thicker than plain old chocolate milk, is not chalky, and it is filling to hold them over until lunch. It has some vitamins and minerals as well, so that is a plus. I like the taste myself as well and crave it at times. It fully dissolves in milk and leaves no residue or chunks behind.

Contains cheap filler
I usually drink the carnation breakfast, but in the individual packets. I recently bought a pack of 3 of the canisters. My husband cautioned me that the ones he saw all said WHEAT in the store. Online, it was not listed in the ingredients. With his advice I double checked the ingredients. It used wheat flour. Obviously, it's a cheap way to fill the product. The smaller packets which are more expensive do not have flour. If you have Celiac disease like me, this could lead to a serious illness b/c of the bad labeling by AZ.com. Even if you do not have a wheat allergy, taking in more processed carbs is not good for your body.
