I'm an independent mortgage broker as well as a gamer. I have been shopping for the past few months for the perfect laptop that will give me the best combination of productivity at my business as well as a great gaming experience. I have been so dumbfounded by the lack of quality in the gaming laptop area. BUT! I believe that I have finally found my knight in shining armor in a laptop. The MSI GE63 Raider RGB is a BEAUTIFUL laptop with LED keyboard and even an illuminated back. The build quality is superb and the SteelSeries engine (runs all the lighting) is intuitive and completely revolutionary when dealing with light customization. I can run so many games on ultra and not even have one ounce of lag. The screen is gorgeous and doesn't glare, it is also the fastest screen I have ever used on a laptop and thus games look phenomenal. If you have the money, shell out for this laptop, it's completely worth every penny. I went over my budget by a few hundred dollars, but WOW is it ever worth it. LOVE THIS LAPTOP. One tiny issue I have been having is the touchpad mouse, and it seems a few people have this issue with MSI. The touchpad is great and reacts well, but sometimes when I double click on the mouse, it will jump around. I don't think it's a hardware issue, I think it's more of a driver issue and I have been trying to resolve that. I hope I get it to work, I really don't want to send it in for a warranty issue this quickly. Thanks MSI and SteelSeries!!

Two months after I bought this it died. Just stopped working. I contacted customer service and my only warranty remedy is to ship back at my expense and expect a 3-4 week turnaround. Really disappointing. They have no relationships with physical service centers and would not replace a product that stopped working so quickly after purchase. I would look elsewhere for a gaming PC.

Fine laptop, works well out of the box. But the small red piece of plastic that helps hold the top of the laptop to the bottom is pretty cheap. Was openning my laptop a couple months back and just heard it snap, and the was it for the piece. Considering it spends most of it's time on a shelf, I was a bit surprised it became so compromised.Oh well.

The summary is this is one awesome gaming laptop! If you want a no holds barred laptop for gaming that just works at the best possible detail, get this now!Now for the detail:The specs on this laptop are no joke. This laptop plays all of my Blizzard games and STWOR at crazy high detail. I have noticed some very cool details in Overwatch that I have never seen on my Dell Gaming PC before. To say I am impressed with the gaming performance is an understatement.I especially love the automatic switching of the keyboard for each game that is played. It makes it nice when opening Overwatch and the lighting changes to highlight keys used in the game. When you exit, it automatically switches back to the standard keyboard lighting. Coupled with the fact you can also change the lights on the outside lid based on game, this is truly very freakin' cool!The other thing that I really can't over emphasize is that the graphics are amazing. Part of that is because of the GeForce Experience app. This software will find all of your games and setup the best possible detail, resolution, viewing for each game based on your PC specs. It takes all of the guess work out of drivers and game settings and setup all of my games to look absolutely amazing. This is one of the main reasons I stay with GeForce products. Just great gaming without the hassle of figuring out what the best settings are.Now for the bad. While I love the keyboard lighting from SteelSeries, I absolutely hate the layout changes from standard keyboards. I understand why (for example) they moved the Windows key, because you don't want to hit it while playing games, but it makes for some weird using of the computer when not gaming. Again, not a big deal at all, but an annoyance.*Update: In the Dragon Center Software, you can swap the location of the FN and Windows key to make them the same as a standard keyboard with the wrong logo on the key of course. This is very nice, but it doesn't fix the number pad and such, but still makes this much more usable as a standard Windows PC.Also, the headphone/mic jacks are split instead of a single jack like you use on your phone. So headphones are problematic unless you buy a splitter. Again, this makes sense on a gaming PC in which you may stream or do things where a good microphone is important. So it makes sense, but is just a bit annoying for casual gaming or just the need to use a headset when your roommate is sleeping.This laptop does run hot when gaming. I purchased a laptop stand with fans and it is a huge lifesaver when it comes to how cool and loud this laptop gets. When using the fans on the stand on high, they are quiet and so is the laptop because it is getting enough air to stay cool without cranking up the fan speed. Only slightly annoying because honestly, this laptop is putting out a huge amount of heat when everything is cranked up.Again, overall, buy this laptop if you just want a great gaming experience!

MSI GE63 is a great Laptop, with superb configuration.It has no lag in games, its cooling system is very efficient, especially when it allow you to use the full capacity by pressing a single key.The Rainbow keyboard lighting is great, and the there is also another lighting on the lid which makes it spectacular.Steel-series 3 keyboard is very good, it feels really comfortable to use it.The new MSI Dragon Center makes everything really easy, you can adjust the speed of fans, the mode of operation and so on, in a very user friendly and beautiful platform.I am really happy with this laptop.

The MSI GE63 Raider RGB-012 is the best laptop I have ever owned. This PC has run anything I have throws at it while never dropping below 60 FPS. Forza Horizon 3, Fortnite, CSGO, Rainbow 6 siege. This PC also has yet to even break a sweat doing so, and all without ever having to use the cooler-boost. The PC also supports over-clocking, but you won't need to ever use it because the PC can run almost every game with ease.The RBG is amazing, full control of basically anything I wanna do to it. Great sound quality, and one of the best design yet. I'd say the only downfall is the battery life which is about 2 hours with all the lights on, brightness at 100%, and gaming on 'Turbo' mode. When all that is off and say just doing school work, the battery lasts anywhere from 6-8 hours. I reccomend this PC (well laptop, but I call it a PC because its a laptop with PC performance) to anyone who is looking to have a great time gaming. 5/5 stars.
