I am a cancer patient currently on chemotherapy. I am struggling to keep my iron hemoglobin up to a good level. I have previously had to have blood transfusions because of my “low” numbers. I have tried other drinks to boost my health and all of them taste bad. I remembered drinking this as a child and didn’t remember and aftertaste with Carnation ( instant breakfast) currently named Carnation Breakfast essentials. The taste is pleasant and easy to drink with NO aftertaste.My blood is checked weekly. In one week after drinking this mix daily and sometimes twice a day my hemoglobin went from 7.5 on May, May 25 2020 was 9.1. June 19 2020 it was 11.2 I am taking iron supplements and folic acid and have been for 3 months but my iron has been going up slowly. This jump of 2.1 is a miracle.In May 2020 I was sick in the hospital I almost died from Bacterial pneumonia. I am thankful for this drink... it saved my life because I couldn’t have the chemotherapy I needed to beat cancer. I think every older adult should take this supplemental drink. With a better immunity system I feel that healthier people won’t get sick as bad from Corona Virus. ( this I’d only my educated guess) Edited May 02, 2021I am also impressed with the price. It is cheaper than most vitamins so it is affordable. I put it on my list to get it often to keep my stock up. My nurse was impressed and wanted to know what I am taking. I will bring the box in so my cancer Dr can look at it and recommend it for other patients. If my iron count stays higher AND continues to raise I can receive stronger chemotherapy which is better to kill the cancer in my body. I recommend this for any senior to build their health. If this product helps me with a low immunity system I can imagine how much it will help other people get healthier.I ordered the milk chocolate and loved it with milk. I liked outing it in an eight ounce glass. To get a strong flavor. I and going to try and put it in coffee for a mocha coffee. I am ordering the vanilla also. I used to use other vanilla drink powders with diet pop. Root beer and orange pop taste like ice cream floats. ( the nutritional value is lower without the milk.)Impressive product at a very good price!Update: I am almost cleared from Breast Cancer. I have recommended this to a friend of mine who has been battling cancer for years. She feels better and energetic. She is also impressed with Carnation essentials.I have been giving it to my granddaughters. Kids these days because of the two working parents don’t eat well. My girls are athletes and need energy and GOOD VITAMINS. They love the flavor. They mix it in a blender with ice and milk for a smoothie.I think their hair and skin looks brighter and they seem to have more energy. They like the taste and like drinking it. I have a hard time keeping it stocked in their household.When I was a kid they called this Instant Breakfast. It is really a good meal substitute for a meal replacement product. The granddaughter’s Carry it in their school bags and mix it with milk from school. Although some of the nutrients come from theMilk I have also mixed it with pop. As I mentioned before vanilla tastes good with orange and root beer pop. Strawberry flavored tastes great mixed in with BIG RED strawberry soda.I also like to add a tablespoon of grape seed oil to add nutrition. I am sure you could use it instead of the popular weight Loss products and lose weight. It is filling and keeps me from getting hungry. I am done with treatments now and I need to loose about 15lbs yet to have my surgery to replace my missing GIRL. I am slowly loosing about 5 lbs a months and keeping it off with this Carnation product. I reduces my urges to eat junk foods.I am so In love with this product It has been a blessing to me. It substituted nutritional value when I was to sick to eat. It was one of the few things that didn’t taste icky when my taste buds were burned out from Chemotherapy. Now it is helping me to lose weight and maintain my health. ( I Use skim milk now) My iron remains normal without any medication to supplement my iron. I drink it in the morning with all my meds and I don’t get a sick stomachache from the meds.Please don’t dismiss me as a troll who is just advertising for Carnation. I consider this one of the most important things to aid in my healings.My Cancer Dr. tells me that I could be run over by a MACK truck and still get up to talk about it. That is from the help of this product. It has helped me recover from a serious Breast Cancer! I was a FOOL I did see changes in my breast and buried my head in the SAND. PLEASE CHECK YOUR BREASTS MONTHLY. IF I would have went into the DR. Sooner I would have not had such radical treatments. I would not had to have surgery to remove my girls and 14 lymph nodes. Sorry I know this is a review, but take care of yourselves. Husbands remind your wives to do a check every month!

I’ve loved this since I was 12 years old. Taste is amazing. I just wish I could know if it’s a prepper long term food storage food. Many foods are good for 2 years unopened, but can actually last 20 years properly stored

1.26 oz (3 Tbsp/ 36 g) packet is 46 centsEach packet contains 5g of protein and a slew of vitamins and nutrients. Directions indicate that it should be mixed with skim milk. I am mixing it with a 12 ounce combination of cold water and espresso. This is not especially sweet. I like to add a little hot cocoa to make it sweet. It is incredibly healthy and individually packed. This is a good deal.

A tasty, filling breakfast drink. I add a 4 oz frozen extra-strength coffee cube, 10 oz. cold almond milk, and another 4 oz frozen cube -- this one of water. Whiz it all up in the blender. Quick, yummy, plus a good AM protein zap. Sometimes we add 2T powdered peanut butter. That blends in perfectly for additional healthy protein.

I used to drink this when it first came out (without revealing my age) but not as instructed. I like mine with less milk! You can add more than directed is it seems sweet but I love it any which way.

Before buying these packets, I always used to add Carnation powder to a glass bottle and buy milk to add to it when needed. Now, I just grab a pouch and go. I buy a pint of milk, mix it in and throw away the packaging. I still use a bottle with powder most of the time, for environmental reasons, but for times when it's not practical, these pouches are awesome.

I got such a great deal. Super impressed with quality. I got these for my mother in law for some extra in her diet and she loves them!

On a strict diet and these help to maintain my weight. I can’t keep weight on.
