I've actually bought a second one from this brand already so me and my girlfriend both have one.Because it's impossible to clean this pillow I bought pillow protectors for both, I found that the queen sized protectors fit perfectly and snug, makes the pillow a bit dense for my taste but my girlfriend absolutely loves it, on myne I used a king sized protector and the extra room made myne feel much softer, queen sized pillow cases on both...Well worth the cost for these pillows! An over time you'll make your money back as long as you use a pillow protector because this style of pillow will last drastically longer than traditional ones! Assuming you properly protect it you shouldn't have to replace this in a long time. I destroy my pillows fast! We normally have to replace them every other month or so, after a year we'll have made money back instead of continuing to buy new pillows regularly lol. We'll worth the investment!

The pillow magically unfurls from a very small package into a very large thick pillow. Sure, I've seen that with mattress toppers before, but this pillow is SO. FIRM. Like, you really need several days or weeks to break it into "memory" mode of a contour you like. I flip onto my back, side, belly several times any night, and for the first few nights back and belly just propped my head up way too high. Side sleeping was a good height, lined up pretty flush with my neck.I think I gradually feel it adapting to a more normal height where I can lay my head down and feel like it's not being propped up, but it really does take a long time and the foam is very very firm compared to most cheap memory foams.The cover is easily removable and washable; I have a pillowcase over it anyway, but I suppose you can use the bamboo cover without an additional pillowcase if you wanted to.

This item arrived nicely boxed, with interior plastic shrink wrap surrounding the pillow. Once the plastic wrap was opened the pillow expands fairly quickly.I received the queen size. The bamboo cover is very soft and typical of rayon products, the cover itself does remain somewhat cool to the touch. The Amazon product description states the pillow is gel-infused memory foam and once fully expanded from the compressed shipping it is fairly high/tall. Including the cover it weighs apx. 3 pounds overall.Although I am not an expert on memory foam pillows, I must say that I was expecting a heavier more gel type foam, vs this fairly light, rather airy, very firm foam. Three people in our household tried the pillow, including 1 woman and 2 men, one of which is over six feet tall and pretty husky. All of us formed the same opinion: even for side sleepers this pillow is too firm and we all felt it was hurting our necks and/or shoulder. Maybe for some people this is the perfect pillow, however for all of us there was too much foam and not enough gel.

This pillow expanded very quickly, I would say it was fully expanded in less than a day. The odor was pretty mild and that also dissipated much faster than other pillows I have gotten. I only waited 2 days before using it and there was no odor to speak of. This pillow was a bit too thick and too firm for my liking. It would be a great pillow for someone that likes thick, firm pillows. I got this for our guest room, so hopefully our guests like that kind. It is a nice pillow.
