Join Adventurer Charley Boorman as he sets off once more on an epic motorbike adventure, this time making his way through the stunning, rugged and often unknown South Africa. Teaming up once again with producer/director Russ Malkin, they journey in a circular route starting and finishing in Cape Town, taking on all corners of this wild and varied African country, experiencing the deeply rooted cultures, the extraordinary people, the remarkable wildlife and the heart stopping adventures along the way. An abseil from the peak of Cape Town s iconic Table Mountain plunges Charley straight in to the start of his adventure. Following this he embarks on a journey of extremes that includes cage diving with deadly Great White Sharks in the rough Atlantic seas; navigating the majestic yet incredibly precarious Sani Pass to reach the icy peak; detonating dynamite deep underground in a Barberton Gold Mine; tracking lions on foot in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park; and searching the ocean floor for the perfect diamond in the ship wreck strewn West Coast. The incredible trip culminates in a huge motorbike convoy down to Signal Hill in Cape Town accompanied by over 250 local riders.

Charey Boorman
Was an interesting DVD, I never watched it on tv and bought it to watch because i have seen his other exploits. It is typical Boorman with his usual jokes and love for bikes and adventure. Would recommend for fans of Long Way Down. Only downside for me is the lack of episodes there are only 4 i feel it could of been longer. I would also have liked to have seen more travelling involved in the dvd rather than just what they got up too at the locations.

Charley Boorman's South African Adventure
I lived in South Africa for 12 years and loved every thing about it.I have visited all these places that Charley visited and I know have a photographic record of my journeys which supplement my own.Sadly times have changed and it would no longer be safe to do what Charley did as a couple and without a team, but it brought back so many happy memories and especially the people.

A great experience!
Charley and his team did a great job and there are some magnificent scenes, but the impression one gets is that the coastline round the Cape is one of rather barren rock. It does not do justice to the splendour that is so evident there. However it deserves a place alongside his other adventures.Ken R

Love Charley`s adventures but this one really had me on the edge - not being happy with heights, I really admired his determination, even though I`m sure he had his fingers crossed!!
