I ordered the size 10 for my 10.5 year old and it was a struggle. She has size 10/12 in her other suits, and the bottoms were way too loose. I ordered this for her, as she is slightly below average in height and is pretty thin. The bottoms generally fit, but she got into a wrestling match with the top. The unique detail of the cutout proved to be a big challenge for her to get it on properly, as given that it ran small did NOT help. I imagine it would have gone better in a bigger size, but the cutout style really does give a big of a challenge. I think she'll be able to use these bottoms with other swim separates, but the top is a no go and will have to be passed down to her younger sister.

Inappropriate for the age group

This is a cute suit but it runs a bit small. I ordered a size for my 9-year-old but it fits my 7-year-old. Also, the bottom doesn't have a lot of booty coverage (The picture shows the bottom laid over the top of a Target brand bottom). The top is sized correctly with the bottom. It seems to be okay quality and the sewing is nice and even. Only the one smaller shoulder strap is adjustable, which is weird.
