Q: For hvac + evap coil use how often does it need to be reapplied?

The clean smell usually lasts 4-5 days for me. I apply to the evaporator coil about every 2-3 weeks during the cooling season.

Q: What does this do? What can it be used on?

I had used this product to clean and refresh the drain pipes from my furnace.

Q: do you rinse with water after spraying?

No need to rinse. My hvac duct installer suggested spraying 6 sprays into the air return every 6 months to prevent mold and bacteria build up. Turn fan on, spray and leave for 30 minutes. Turn fan off upon returning.
