The sheet is made from small crushed pieces of genuine shell laminated together to form a sheet. All of the colours of green abalone but in a crazed mosaic pattern never found naturally, these sheets are stunning. Being real shell it can be sanded and polished as you would a normal solid blank. Because it is so thin we recommend mounting on a black or white backing to enhance the colour of the shell and reduce its apparent translucency. The sheet can be carefully cut with a pair of sharp scissors, craft knife or laser cutting machine.
