What happened???!!!!
I had ordered this 2 months ago and it was the only "butter" that tasted like peanut butter ...minus the seedy texture. I have a 3 yr old autistic son who only eats peanut butter and yogurt. We have to be a nutfree household when my stepson is over, this product was a godsend. Until I just got my second order opened it up and tasted it with my husband...disgusting. Not the same packaging as before, not the same color as before and certainly not the same taste as before. Not sure what happened here. It was almost like we tasted chemicals

Updated: They changed their recipe. :(
I couldn't purchase this product for a while and wondered what happened to it. I was excited to see it finally returned on Amazon so I purchased two jars. I received my order and noticed the color was off. It was more gray in color. I tasted it and it did not taste the same. It didn't taste good at all. I thought maybe my order was bad so I contacted the company. The company replied that they changed their recipe. It tastes more like sunflower seed butter now instead of the perfect seed blend it was before. I liked that it had a nice pumpkin seed taste to it. Sunflower seed butter is readily accessible in my local grocery store and if I want a jar I could purchase it for less money. I hope they change their mind and go back to the original recipe. I requested a refund on my order.Old review: 5/5 Amazingly delicious blend of seeds. I love placing a spoonful in my morning oatmeal. You have to try it if you have a nut allergy or sensitivity.

Used to taste great - now tastes like chemicals
This used to be the best-tasting seed butter out there - almost as good as peanut butter. But they changed their recipe recently, and it now tastes like chemicals. A truly vile taste that lingers. I REALLY hope they change it back to how it was. In the meantime, I'll have to look for something else. It's such a shame.

... I can say that this is one of the best on the market
I've spent quite some time in my life exploring alternative nut butters and I can say that this is one of the best on the market. It's creamy with just enough texture to keep things interesting. It's more reminiscent of peanut butter than, say, almond butter but it has a unique and sophisticated sunflower/chia/pumpkin seed flavor that makes it much more exciting. This would be great on any kind of bread, in a smoothie or in baked goods and would make an excellent peanut butter and jelly sandwich for a more precocious (or allergy prone) child. DELICIOUS.

Finally a seed butter I can love
I used to be a person who would just eat spoonfuls of peanut butter before I developed an allergy to nuts. I have tried a lot of different seed butters but none was a substitute for that satisfying creamy/crunchy flavor and texture I missed. This is. I tried it as soon as it arrived and I'm so happy!

WHY DID YOU CHANGE THIS!?
The original was fabulous! Whatever those 20 calories were that they took out made a HUGE difference in the taste and even the consistency. It's very loose, sandy tasting and the flavor is terrible. Bring back the old formula!!!! I threw this out after 1 taste.

wonderful addition to smoothies (and helped restore gastric health)
First and foremost, this has a smooth and creamy texture and is a perfect addition to green smoothies. I did stir it a bit because I find that the creamier part of the butter does move to the top of the jar over time, but it's definitely not like some nut butters that separate. There was none of that with this product. As far as taste and texture- it makes my smoothies taste creamier and richer, and keeps my energy up longer during my swims, so that's definitely a great aspect of this product. The reason I purchased it because I was desperate to find a healthy, non-nut based, vegetarian fat source for my diet. I'm a child of the 80's, and "non-fat" was big health craze back then, and I never shook it off. Now that I'm in my mid-40's, and I started having relatively severe bouts of IBS-C, I knew I needed to force myself to find a good source of fat that I could eat every day and could eat with a clear conscience and not wonder if it was doing more harm than good. Besides olives (which contain a ton of sodium) I really eat very little fat, and I knew that I needed to include more healthy fat in my diet.Since I'm new to this whole "butter" fats thing, I did a bit of research and every nut-butter and non-nut-butter I looked at had at least one ingredient (sunflower oil, coconut oil, etc.) that at least one major group of doctors said could be bad in large amounts. Finally, I stumbled upon "Beyond the Equator" and there were no ingredients that raised any red flags, so I decided to try it.It's wonderful. Within a few days of including 1-2 tsp into my morning smoothie, my stomach issues improved pretty significantly. I know that might be TMI, but for those that are in pain, adding this to your diet might help. I've tried both medicine AND food to try and correct it, so to have hit upon something that made a significant, noticeable difference is pretty epic.I'm not sure about the impact it has had on my body weight yet. I'll be honest and say that adding 20 grams of fat to my daily diet is scary stuff for someone who has spent the last 40+ years thinking fat was something to be something to avoided at all costs. For now, I'm just focusing on the fact it makes me feel a little bit better, and that's worth a tremendous amount to me.Highly recommended for taste, texture, and health benefits.

Super Nutrition, Spreads OK, Nice Flavor
Any kind of a butter made from seeds is likely to be highly nutritious, with 6 grams of protein for each 5 grams of carbs this product does not disappoint. It also is high in fat which is a good thing in this case because it's all healthy fats and fats are required nutrients. I'm disappointed they chose to use a euphemism for sugar, "dehydrated cane juice", just call it what it really is - SUGAR. the second ingredient by weight. I still defend this as wholesome and nutritious. It is definitely gluten-free as I would have become violently ill if it was not. It also seems to be vegan, my other requirement.I use it on toaster waffles, it spreads a bit more thickly than generic peanut butter. It seems to be about twice as expensive as peanut butter, which is still my preferred topping for toaster waffles.

Salty!!!!
At first I really liked this butter, although it has too much sugar, but as you get closer to the bottom, all you taste is SALT and nothing else, very unpleasant!. I was going to try unsweetened variety, but afraid it will be too salty, do not recommend this product

Tastes like stevia. :(
Unappetizing grey colour, slimy texture, tastes like stevia or artificial flavour and “superfood” is nothing more than a marketing gimmick. Decent source of protein, but nothing much else besides fat, and super expensive. Won’t buy again.
