I like to keep an eye on the output temperature of my Split AC system, because it appears I have a small leak. Anyway this thermometer works great. The thermometer was on when I got it, and the batteries did not last long, but I received an extra set with the unit.

I use these thermometers mounted with Velcro on our dogs’ crates in the car. This way I can easily read the temperature (nice, large display) from the driver’s seat but have the sensor inside of the crate to know just how warm it might be in there - very important in the South Carolina heat. Accurate and reliable. Have re-purchased and will continue to!

At first I put the entire thing in the freezer just to make sure it worked before mounting it, dont do that! The numbers on the screen disappear when its cold. Works well with the screen on the outside of the freezer.

Found a IKEA Lack enclosure for a 3d printer that used this to read the internal temperature of the enclosure. Easy to read and does exactly what it says it does!

I should have known better then to trust the listing for a $10 thermometer. The item description says it measures up to 199 degrees F (which is what I need), but the item that arrived says on it that it only measures up to 150 degrees F - this won't work for me and is not what was advertised.

We live in a very cold climate and I always wondered why the pipes don’t freeze in the crawlspace in sub zero temps. We have a boiler and only use it as backup. We mostly use electric heat so most times there is no heat ducts or pipes warm under the house. I drilled a small hole in a closet floor and put the sensor thru the hole into the crawl. Now I can check the temp anytime. If it starts to get too cold I heat the house with the boiler for a few hours and the warm pipes warm up the crawl a bit

We purchased one of these initially for our truck since all of the other vehicle thermometers read in C. We wanted one that read in F. This is perfect. From time to time it can be "off" by about 1 degree (according to roadside thermometer displays but we attribute that to be under the metal fender. Regardless it has definitely served it's purpose this year as we navigate winter roads and need to keep a close eye on the temps.I purchased a second unit for our mini fridge as other cheap non-digital versions quickly burned out. This one is going strong!

I liked the size of the display the cord was a couple of feet to long for my use. The device requires disassembly of the equipment it is installed on in order to replace the battery. I would suggest buying one with the battery compartment designed to be opened from the side you read the temp.
