I have been using this for the past one and half months, so I think it's time to review this product. I have a 3.5" HDD was on my desktop, and now I need to use it as an external hard disk. I was a bit hesitant to buy this one for this price, so I bought a cheap adapter, but later I realized that it was for a 2.5" HDD. Then I bought a cheap 3.5" Adapter cum Case, but it didn't work. At last bought this and Oh Boy, this is the perfect one!First thing first, this thing works soo easily. Just plug everything in, and it will work. Second, the transfer speeds are ok, I got nearly 200-300 Mbps speeds while transferring large files. Third, the packaging it came with was also super nice, still, I keep the product in the box. It's so small and compact packaging too.As a final verdict, go for this one if you have a 3.5" HDD. Just don't hesitate to buy it for the money. Don't be like me. This will truly smoothly :)

Excellent product for IT Pro

Product is working ok, but transfer speeds seem to be vary quite widely. I have not been able to get speeds above 55MB/s with both WD and Seagate 3.5" HDDs. I tried with a variety of WD disks - Black, Purple, Red ... But transfer speeds max out at 55MB/s. Theoretically it should give speeds around 100MB/s..However, the product is still very handy to transfer data out of internal disks. Also, I think that if disks are encrypted then transfer speeds will drop significantly but I am not very sure about this one. Once I test a little bit more I will update the post.Packaging was really good. In fact, QZ surprised me with the extremely neat box packaging. The USB cable seems to be quite good also. I would have given 5 stars if the product had these 2 features - 1) Manual switch on / off button on the converter unit. 2) A little better transfer speeds - The job gets done pretty well but proper speeds would have been great.Update: The product is good. And transfer speeds are in the range of 70-80MBps which is really good. However, when transferring data to encrypted disks the speeds fall to the range of 30MBps. Also, the adapter or the sata connector does not heat up even after prolonged usage of around 8 hours. Very good product for anyone looking to transfer data.

When this product arrived, the quality of its packaging far exceeded my expectations and was a good indicator of what was to come. I picked this up to migrate data from the Seagate Momentus 7200.4 HDD in my old laptop whose motherboard had failed after many years of service. I resisted the temptation to pick up a cheaper alternative thanks to this product's support for the much higher transfer speeds of USB 3 (2 is more common) and its ability to support 5.25" optical drives (using the included power adapter) since I have several of those (DVDRW, Bluray, etc.) from older desktops and laptops and my newest gaming laptop does not have a built-in optical drive. While I haven't had the need to use those with my new laptop yet, it is good to know that I have this option. The build quality of this product appeared better than competing products and I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the actual product lived up to my online impression. The product was pretty much plug-and-play with Windows 10 and the included brief but informative guide was also a pleasant surprise as it was free from the typos and grammatical errors that I have come to expect from such accessories purchased online. All in all, no regrets about my additional investment on this.

It's far better than other products and the price is good for this quality, speed depends on your hhd but it worked good, easy to setup and compatible with hhds

USEFUL.VERY GOOD . WORTH BUYING

The best feature is that the USB cable is detachable. So in case of that cable fault, it can be easily replaced by another one. Also, if you have a usb C cable then it can also be used. Data transfer rate is very fast. Packaging is good. I don't see any negatives.
