Bruichladdich Octomore 6.1 Scottish Whisky 70 cl

All I remembered from trying it in a whisky bar in Edinburgh and so much more.It's absolutely bursting with peat aromas as you would expect, but in a whisky that is so incredibly smooth. Even friends who think Lagavulin is too harsh like this one.A real treat for your senses.

I wouldn't say that you could just sit and drink an octomore on an average weekday night. This is a showpiece. I have a good sized collection now, and this completes it purely because it's a talking point. I just like having it there for people to try and compare to the others.If you like your peat in the form of an atomic bomb this is for you. Laphroig, Ardbeg supernova, Lagavulin, Big Peat. You would have to team togther in an "Avengers Assemble" type operation to even touch the peat in this black bottled bad boy. That or you could just set fire to a peat bog and breathe in. Ace!

Bought for my partner and he absolutely loves it! The most unusual and surprising whisky I think I have ever tasted...the finish just lasts forever.Your collection will not be complete without a bottle of Octomore!Highly recommended :-)
