Didn't like the hand cover, but they are better than
Continued from the title: The ones I got later that only cover the forearm. These are comfortable, but can interfere with gloves. The ones I later bought without the hand cover are too tight since they have to grip harder to stay in place. These are really well made, and comfortable, unless you want to wear tight gloves. They won't help you with sharp thorns, nails, or snake bites, but they help me keep from having branches and such cut up my arms when working with trees and clearing brush. I have thin skin on my arms because I'm an old man, and these sleeves really do help. Like I said, it's not armor, and it won't stop a sharp object that comes straight in, but it does help a lot with scratches and scrapes that would otherwise shred the skin on my forearms. If you need a bit of protection for such things, these are well worth the money.

Thick, finger holes are web sewn.
Works for handling my Iguana and Tegu, as they grow, nail clipping wasn't effective enough to keep my arms from getting scratched up, these so far have been great.

These should work fine...
These fit very well for me. Not too loose or too tight. Good thickness for me as well, unlike others that are basically thin "leggings" for the arms, and these should keep my thin skin from damage, or at least to a minimum. Thumb holes are sewn well, and not just a "slit" cut into the fabric like most all others that will ravel or fray. Quality seems to be good overall. As far as durability, I've only worn them once, and time will tell if these will hold up. I'm happy with these so far.

Advertised for pet grooming and handling, my 10lb cat clawed and bit through these
I purchased these based on the product description and reviews to be able to handle my cat when he is in a playful mood as he tends to get aggressive suddenly leaving me with scratches that can get infected. The gloves claim to be made of kevlar, yet they offer no more protection than wooly socks. Within 10 seconds my cat delivered 3 scratches and a bite through the gloves that hurt and drew blood. He cannot get through my Mechanix gloves, but those don't protect my forearms. I guess I need heavy falconry leather gloves.

Great protection for skin.
Using gloves to protect skin while gardening. Works well for my skin protection. But gloves do not stay tight to arm. Constantly sliding down. Sewing seams between fingers are bulky.
