I’m using this to replace the phone holder on my ring light tripod.I couldn’t be any happier with it. The phone holder like most of them I think they just slide into a slot.I cut that piece off. It already was threaded for a1/4-20. I polished that edge I cut with a Dremel tool and put in a bolt lock washer and a nut. The piece still fits the tripod whether you put it in from the front or the back.These tripods are pretty cheap and they never sit level and now it’s so easy to tweak the phone or turn it slightly without having to shift the entire tripod.It’s a nice gadget. It looks good. The magnets are strong and I’m sure I’ll find other uses for it besides just for the tripod.

Amazing! I keep in my purse so I can attach it to my car to make content or attach to the shopping cart. Just wish each circlular magnet could attach devices on both sides of each one. But it works great for my iPhone monitor so I can use my back camera

Magnets are vey strong. I have found they use for this a few times while putting my phone in different places to watch videos. I keep it with a few different mounts in a bag.

This is a great product, I got it for my iPhone and it holds extremely well. It functions just like it is supposed to, magnet strength is great, my phone stays on like I want it to, it is a great price, and it is designed very well, you can adjust it to multiple positions to suit your needs, like I said it is a great product.

This item DOES NOT come with the foam pad on the bottom or the small black bag in the photos.This is a fantastic item and it’s incredibly well-made. It how’s two very strong MagSafe magnets so it can be attached to door hinges or anything else that’s steel as a makeshift tripod. The hinges are very firm and can be tightened if they ever loosen up. It’s nearly perfect.However, I also want to use it as a phone mount for when I’m traveling e.g. on a plane, or sitting at a coffee shop watching a video, etc. And since the entire piece is metal and slides easily I added a small strip of foam along one of the bare metal sides that I could use as a base to keep it from sliding. Also, because I’m going to be carrying this with me in my camera bag or my computer bag, I found a small black pouch that it fits in to keep it from scratching any of the other items in my bag. This is a 5-star item, but it would be even better if they added the foam pad and black bag.For the DIY folks. I purchased a 1.5mm foam pad from Michaels Craft store for $.99 and cut a 7mm strip to curve along one of the non-magnetic sides. As you can see it doesn’t get in the way of folding this at all and it works perfectly. The black bag was something that I happen to have laying around.
