What useful information!!
I love how this book gets down into the details about insulin resistance and how to deal with diabetes-related concerns. As a Type 2 diabetic, I have tried so many diets and found only minimal benefits. But, what I have learned over my life is right here in the book, before all the recipes and meal plans. The direct discussion on what works to control your blood sugar through a healthy diet and regular exercise is so helpful. The recipes at the end and the meal plan are not to be discounted. However, I found my greatest inspiration in the first 40+ pages of this valuable book!I highly recommend that you buy this book if you are looking to control your insulin levels!

Lots of great information
This book does a great job explaining the intricacies of type 2 diabetes, the function insulin plays, and how metabolism interacts. One thing very unique about this cookbook is there was a plethora of information about the “why” for the foods to eat for the various meals. I appreciated the background information on the “why” greatly. The final quarter or so of the book is where the actual recipes and meal plans are located. I wish the author had formatted the recipes better and, while there are incredible pictures throughout the book, there were no pictures of the actual recipes in the book. :

Really good book with amazing recipe
I really liked this book since the recipes were really easy to make and the food tasted amazing. The meal plan was also very balanced with a good variety for different kind of food

Not a cookbook but a starting guide to a balanced diet
This is not a "complete" cookbook. There are a handful of recipes in the back of the book. I'm honestly not even sure what "golo" stands for after reading it; the author never elaborates other than it's a balanced diet aimed at controlling insulin levels. There's not enough foundational information or recipe information to be called a guide or a cookbook. Overall, very confusing.

Great recipes
The Complete Golo Weight Loss Cookbook is a great resource. There is some wonderful information on glucose stabilization (insulin) and how this affects the metabolism. The recipes are great. I highly recommend this.
