Useful Endoscope on Samsung S8+ for home/garage use.
Having read previous reviews I felt it would be nice to point out that this product works, "YES WORKS", using only the supplied USB-C adapter plugged into my Samsung S8+ together with a app called "Endoscope", which I downloaded from the app store. It was up and running in 10 minutes and it is perfect for those hard to reach/view areas. The picture is clear enough and the LED's are brightness adjustable for different situations. I showed a friend and he asked me to order him one too, so I have a second one on it's way. He was very impressed with the functionality (with extra attachments supplied) and being waterproof, plus the price to which I can only agree wholeheartedly. Highly recommended

Not reliable
This didnt work. The software update was downloaded but didnt work with the camera, no images were available, even after deleting the software and re loading it. Very poor.

Patchy use
I've tried this on three different phones with two different apps and can't get it to make an OTG connection at all. TBH I think it's the adaptor from the cable to the USB-C socket as it feels very insecure.However, plug it into the USB socket on the laptop and it's up and running right away.The image quality isn't great, but it's not as if you're likely to need hi-res images of what's blocking your u-bend. I'd agree with other reviewers that the cable is too flexible for many jobs. It also won't disconnect when you're done. I have to open Task Manager to shut down the camera when finished.

Great for the price.
Iwas surprised by how good this was for a cheap endoscope.We've been using it to look into the birdhouse in our garden. The picture is clear enough to see the different components of the bird nest. The light is bright enough.The endoscope app for android works well with it.Overall I'm pleased.
