The one thing I hate about most new cameras is that they all have their own unique battery, and thus their own unique battery charger. If you own several Canon cameras, as I do, then you also wind up owning several different, but visually similar chargers that you have to store. And you know that you ALWAYS pick up the wrong one the first, or even second or third, time. And woe be unto you should you misplace the charger you need. Which is exactly what I did with the charger for my SX40HS.So I bought this charger (and then of course found the Canon one a week later). Since I had it, though, and since I lost the Canon charger once, I decided to keep it. Then I decided to see if one charger, or one battery, was better than the other.The good news is that the batteries are interchangeable (as you would expect) between the two chargers. Both chargers also took just about the same amount of time to charge the non-Canon batteries. So the charger does what it should, but is no better or worse than the Canon supplied charger.What IS different is the battery life I get with the non-Canon battery versus the Canon battery. This is not scientific by any means, but the new batteries do seem to last significantly longer than my original Canon battery, so that is a big plus for me. However, even if I only got the same battery life out of the non-Canon batteries, having two extra means I get triple the battery life before needing to charge. So far, though, after more than two weeks, and almost 300 pictures, I am still on my first battery, so I am a very happy camper. You can't beat the price, either, so I think this is a five star product.

The charger and batteries are as good as the one that came with the camera

The car jack attaches to the battery charger itself , not your camera. I like the fact it comes with 2 batteries and a charger, as well as a jack that you can use to charge your battery in your car with, provided you have the battery charger with you and a port suitable for the jack. Highly recommended you watch a YouTube video tutorial on how to use the jack if you have never used one like this one before. Good product overall for the older model cannon PowerShot series cameras that run on these types of lithium ion batteries.

Bought a Canon Powershot SX50 and wanted extra batteries for it.While these are not actual Canon batteries, they do fit and work just like the OEM battery that came with the camera.I will tell you that we only got about 2/3 rds the amount of use out of these as we did with the OEM battery, but since there are 2 of them, you should never be without a battery for your camera.The AC/DC charger worked great both in and out of the car and charged the batteries quickly. The included car charger has a long enough cord that you can easily plug it into the rear car charger port (if you have one) and still hold it in your lap in the front seats.Didn't need the screen savers that came with it, but those and the cloth were an added bonus.The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the battery life, but I am not dissapointed at all and you won't be either.

I got a free camera, a Canon SX60 HS. Unfortunately the camera had no battery and none was available locally so I took a chance and ordered the battery / charger set.While the batteries worked perfect, the camera has a lens error code and is unusable and as such I have no need or use for the batteries and charger unless I buy a compatible camera such as the G15Good product, I just wish I could use them. Not a big loss though, it wasn't expensive and the camera was just going to be a knock around camera as I have a bran new Nikon D5600

The batteries for my older camera are no longer available where I live. But! They were on amazon. Packaged really well. Received in one day. All fit perfectly. Very nice products.

really great value. came with a slight charge about 50%. fit the camera and charger fit the factory battery too. I think this is a really great deal for under $20.

So far seems to work well. I will put it the test in the upcoming travels.
