Chemical nuance is a bit much

I love the fact that it has a dropper built in, so you don't have a mess, but I am disappointed in the fragrance. It is not caramel that I smell, and I detect a chemical odor as well. It's not nearly as sweet & accurate as crazy candles, but they do not have the built in dropper. I will use this perhaps in a candle to give to someone else, but I am not in love with the scent like I am with creme brulee. I can't quite put my nose to it, as to describe what this smells like, but the fact that I can distinctly smell an off-putting chemical fragrance is very disappointing to me.
