ONE OF MY BEST EVER PURCHASES
This is one of the best purchases I ever made. I love it. No more grounds of coffee spilled. The optimum amount of coffee is dispensed into the espresso machine - regardless of which size machine you're using - through a domed scoop at the base. The only thing to remember is to check that the arrow on the handle is pointing down before removing it, as this is what indicates that the scoop is closed. If you lift it off and the arrow isn't pointing down, the coffee grounds will spill out everywhere, in true nightmare fashion. It took me a while to realise what the arrow on the handle was for, so I learned the hard way! I keep mine in the fridge, so the coffee stays fresh. The skinny brown strip you see at the base is a lid, just in case there are any stray grounds.Mine has been problem free and fully functioning in the 3 or so years I've owned it - I haven't experienced any of the problems that other reviewers have mentioned here. I can not recommend highly enough for you espresso drinkers out there!

Makes it so easy to fill the moka pot in the morning
Update: 1 year later it's broken, the key doesn't turn any more. Sad!This is a phenomenal invention. Makes it so easy to fill the moka pot in the morning! You place it over the pot, turn the key 180 degrees to unlock it & dispense ground coffee, and then turn it 180 degrees again to close it and scoop up the excess coffee all at the same time.It really is excellent - works best on smaller pots.

Can i have a replacement
The lid is broken

Useless
Impossible to use, more coffee gets spilled than it goes in the moka because the handle is such poor quality that it sometimes get blocked while it's still open. If you turn it upside down to try to fix it, the lid falls off because it doesn't lock. Absolutely useless, I've wasted half a packet of ground coffee and had to clean the hob once every two times I've used it. I'll be looking for a new one after just a month.

Easiest and cleanest way to recharge a moka pot
I was looking for a Dosa Caffe, unavailable in the USA and hard to find elsewhere, when I came across this product, which does the same thing. The Snips is a bit more ergonomic with the tapered body, and easier on the eyes than the chrome and black Dosa Caffe. The action of the release is also slightly different, but just as effective. Grind your coffee, fill the Dispenser, then a simple twist of the knob delivers the exact amount of coffee needed every time, with no scattering of loose grounds on the counter, ready to screw on the top and brew.

Looks good on the shelf but that's about it...
The media could not be loaded. I'm having some trouble with this coffee dispenser. I bought it because I injured my right hand when I fell at the beginning of June, and I wanted something easy to use to dispense my coffee while my hand recovered. I got this one because its mechanism looked similar to other ones I had, so I thought it would be intuitive. However, when I used it for the first time, I put the entire pack of coffee in, placed the dispenser on top of the Moka, and turned the wheel. The wheel got stuck halfway, leaving the dispenser hole wide open. This defeated the purpose of having the dispenser because the wheel couldn't move past the coffee and close up again. I tried to force it, but I was afraid the mechanism would break, so I ended up spilling a lot of coffee on the table. However, when I tried to use it today, it turned much more easily and didn't get stuck. I still had to lift it to check whether the hole had closed, and this was due to the lack of instructions in the actual product and to a possible flaw in the wheel's design. The wheel has two sides; one is marked with a triangle, and the other has a circle. There's "aperto" (open) written on the top and "chiuso" (closed) written on the bottom. It sounds easy enough to operate, right? However, you would think that the side with the triangle is the one you need to look at while turning it to see if the mechanism is open or closed, but in reality, it's the other way around. So, while you think that the triangle pointing on "closed" means that the mechanism is closed, it's still wide open until the CIRCLE gets positioned in the closed position. Having more precise instructions would easily fix this issue. Also, perhaps today, the pressure of the coffee was less on the mechanism because I had already used it once, and there was less coffee pressing on the wheel. Could this be why it worked without getting stuck? Only time will tell. I will keep using this dispenser and change my review with time if my experience improves.
