Filter light not turning off after changing with this filter, has anyone else faced this problem?

I believe you have to hold the button on the side of the machine down for 10 seconds to reset the light

When putting the filter in a jug of water lots of black bits came out. Is this normal? Can the filter still be used?

Please flush the filter for 2-3 minutes when you first use it or don't drink the filtered water when you first use it. The filter still can be used, please don't worry.
