Amazing
I'm going to go into some detail for people who are using this for camping so if you're just using it for home use, you probably won't care. Campers: read on. I kind of loathe the entire concept of camp stoves with propane. Seems like cheating to me. Plus, they're expensive to fuel and you still don't get a ton of cooking square inches. This thing is really amazing. I can use this and cook over a fire like a cowboy and not have to sacrifice having a dope ass meal either.I love combining things into one object, especially while camping and this is IT. It's legs act as a stand for over the fire and since its solid cast iron, you can cook everything even pancakes on it. Using grates, you'd have to bring the grate as a cooking stand AND a separate cast iron skillet too. This is a stand, cooking grate and cooking surface all in one. What I like:-What I said above-Pre seasoned, and pre seaoned WELL. My girlfriend was floored at how well we were able to cook and turn eggs on the first use ALSO we made pancakes that didn't burn. They defintiely pre seasoned it right so you can immediately use it. NO sticking either and it never will. That alone is worth it.-Gets hot very quickly and gives you even heat.-Cleans well-Legs can be detached and you can collapse it to something that take up little room. Definitely less room than a camp stove-With a collapsible rocket stove, you can move your cooking station anywhere and aren't constrained by where the firepit is. Have you ever had to try and make breakfast hungover at 10 am in full sun because the firepit is in the middle of the site without tree cover? You have? Yea, it sucks. Just cook under the trees.CAVEATS:This IS heavy...as you'd expect with a cast iron skillet. The legs are also 8 inches high and non adjustable so there is some inflexibility there...However, as you can see above, we used it with a collapsible rocket stove and I think everyone should use it the exact same way since it compensates for the height and weight issue.Get one of these wider rocket stoves (the ones with a 5 inch opening on top) . These are about 6 inches tall and give you the exact clearance you need to put this cook surface above it .The rocket stove not only makes it easy and quick to build a fire but since you can feed it from the side you don't have to fight with keeping a low fire built and stoked. It weighs about 18 pounds and, I think, is absolutely essential for car camping but...I'm also thinking this is something I'd consider having for even wilderness camping if I didn't have to hike in more than a mile...I think the setup I have makes it worth it..

Stable, pleasant to use
I bought this to use over the camp fire. When we checked in, the campgrounds were not allowing campfires due to weather conditions and wildfires elsewhere in the state. So, we set it up in the fire pit, but over a butane single burner backpacking stove. It worked great, cooking 4 burgers at once. I was very impressed. It is a little tough to clean because of it's size, but it's totally worth it. The entire experience was most excellent, and the burgers came out fantastic!FYI, I have not weighed it, but it is heavy. It's big and made out of cast iron, which is God's gift to cooking. The legs are very sturdy and solid. I am impressed with it, and can't wait to put it to use again.

Perfect griddle for 1 pan meals, extremely tough and naturally non-stick with some care
I love cooking with cast iron because it's durable and cooks food evenly. Yes, it's heavy but this griddle can replace a lot of cookware if you plan on cooking with 1 pan only. It's about 8-10 lbs which isn't too bad. The griddle is slightly concaved not like a wok but enough to pool grease and oil in the middle. The stainless steel legs screw into the bottom and is very sturdy, you can place it over an open fire, coals or propane stove. It's very versatile. It's very easy to clean by simply scraping, you can rinse and wipe off with a damp cloth but you have to wait a while for it to cool down. The bottom has flat border or ring so that you can even use it directly on a camp stove. If you put this over a campfire it'll blacken the bottom so you have to be careful with wiping it off or you'll get soot everywhere. I keep mine in a fabric bag wrapped in an old towel. The only thing I would have changed is a couple of holes in the handle so you can hang it somewhere out of the way. Unlike Lodge Cast Iron, this is made in China, but for the price it doesn't matter too much. The casting and finish work are fine.

Great value but really shines with some finish work.
Great deal for building something similar that sells for over $300. Casting was a little rough but not bad. I still used a flap disc to smooth it out super smooth then re-seasoned it. Great as a pizza stone in the oven as well. My maid hates it because it's heavy.

Well made, holds lots of food- great grill.
My husband has wanted something like this for a while ( he loves those cowboy cooking videos on FB) This product does not disappoint, we fit plenty of food on it. It got hot fast and evenly. Has a good weight to it, and felt very sturdy. Cleaned up easily. I would definitely recommend this product. Oh and the price was reasonable.

Great part for a home brew skottle!
Didn't want to spend $300 + for a Tembo Tusk do I got this and a single burner propane burner from Walmart for $16 and made some legs from electrical conduit that slip over the screw in legs for added height and bam! a Skottle for about $80.... This pan/skillet/skottle is good heavy cast iron, the legs screw into castings on the bottom securely. I did an initial season with some oil, some salt, and a large onion, cleaned it after and it was ready . cooked two large steaks and a pile of sliced vegetables at the same time with plenty of room, this thing is a camp cooking MVP!

Where has this been my whole life!
I wish I discovered this years ago.The heat distributes extremely well.It is very heavy, but that is because it is built very well.It can be used on a gas stove (indoor/outdoor), electric stove, and campfire. It has become one of my favorite ways to cook!Get one, you will not be disappointed.

Great to grill meat and 전 (it is like flatter 가마솥뚜껑)
I have been looking for reasonably priced Discada (or cowboy disc or 가마솥뚜껑 - large Korean cast iron lid) for years. This is perfect for my needs of grilling meat and other cooking at home (outside or inside with table top gas burner). This is flatter than typical Discada or 가마솥뚜껑, and the size is good enough to cook breakfast (scramble eggs, bacon, sausage, hash brown, etc., albeit not in a single batch). Since it is pre-seasoned, it is ready to go, just out of the box and easy to clean and store as long as you are not abusing it or use with extreme hot.

Love it!!
We don't even take a bbq with us camping anymore. A hole in the handle would be the only change I would recommend.
