Apparently this brand of cacao is superior to Bulletproof in certain regards. It has less cadmium. However I'm not sure if it has been tested for mycotoxins, a bigger issue when dealing with Cacao. Mold is the biggest problem when dealing with these powders. That being said, I use a lot of Cacao in smoothies and I'm glad I bought this one this month.

Having lived in cacao producing areas of the world for some time, I definitely have an appreciation for keeping the essence of the plant pure and straightforward when it comes down to how I ingest it. I'm not super into most processed chocolate, and prefer nibs, powders, and the living fruit as opposed to your standard sweetened chocolate products. That's why I like Essential Living's Cacao Powder, which has that wonderful nutty taste, a slight bitterness, and a noticeable but manageable stimulant effect. A little goes a long way in a smoothie, and adds that quintessential chocolate flavor to drinks or even to cooking. I love that my purchase can stretch over a period of time while also giving me that experience of cacao that I prefer! Highly recommended.

I am sooo in love with this chocolate. It tastes so much 'cleaner' than Hershey's or Ghiradelli, although the flavor is ligherI have used this powder to make homemade chocolate pudding, hot cocoa and other desserts, but my favorite is definitely a frozen smoothie made with ice, chocolate powder, a banana and coconut milk. I try new recipes all the time. I bought this chocolate powder after doing alot of research to find one with less toxins.

I really like having Cacao in my smoothies, and this powder is perfect. This powder has a great chocolate flavor and I really like that it is unsweetened. Whereas whole beans or nibs leave my smoothies too chunky, with bits stuck in my teeth, this powder makes my smoothies much smoother and creamier. Great stuff.

The product was extremely bittersweet and therefore hard on the palate. It was also hard to mix, regardless of what I tried to mix it with, and I normally use almond milk. Therefore, I wouldn’t buy it again. I still have an entire canister, because it was too hard to drink, due to the taste.

It was added in a basket gift for my dad.

I just received this today and was looking forward to trying this, but when I opened my package I noticed a hole in my package. We will have to throw it away, unfortunately.
