Great Apple Pencil Alternative for Everyday Use
The ESR Pencil for iPad is a surprisingly solid alternative to the Apple Pencil, especially for the price. It offers smooth, accurate writing and drawing, making it perfect for note-taking, sketching, and everyday use. Palm rejection works well, so you can write naturally without worrying about stray marks. The magnetic attachment is a convenient touch, and the USB-C charging makes powering up fast and easy. While it lacks pressure sensitivity, the tilt support and overall responsiveness make it a great pick for students and casual creatives. Definitely worth considering if you're looking to save money without sacrificing too much performance.

Good but no tilt sensitivity
Everything works well, magnetically attaches, comfortable grip, it doesn’t have pressure sensitivity which I’m fine with, however they mention tilt sensitivity and it doesn’t work on my iPad a16.No lag when scribbling, extra tips are a nice addition, charging port has a weird silicone cover that’s easy to lose, the tap on/off feature is wonky but not troublesome. For 17$ it’s great, i just wish tilt sensitivity worked on it.

exactly what you want
works really well. the battery is about 2 days of intermittent use. has no issues with connecting, charging or detection. My hand is never misinterpreted, and I have only lost the battery cap once. Its easy to connect and use. I enjoy the color it matches my case. The pen is precise, and I can create some detailed strokes in my art apps. good alt to official.

Good ipad stylus
UPDATE:The seller reached out and offered a replacement. I have been trying it out and so far there’s been no connection issues. Maybe it was just my ipad at the time or a bad batch, but this replacement works perfectly fine. I think this pen is great for taking notes and occasional doodles, but if you are into art maybe its best to get an apple pencil because none of the dupes will have pressure sensitivity. Another great thing about this pen is that the tilt sensitivity is really good. I had bought a Best buy brand first and the tilt sensitivity was really off while on this one its really good.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I really wanted to like this… i saw reviews everywhere saying it was one of the best apple pencil alternatives. the feel is great and everything but it turns off every few minutes, sometimes not even a whole minute! i thought i got a defective one so i asked for a replacement, but the new one is having the same issue. I charged both of them for a long time both using my ipad and a separate charger and no difference. I will be drawing and it just turns off and its very fustrating.

Lightweight, magnet-charging stylus—excellent for notes and casual
The ESR Pencil (1st Generation) offers excellent value for under $30. It’s light, comfortable, and works out-of-the-box for everyday writing, note-taking, and casual sketching. The magnetic attachment and tilt support feel intuitive and practical—especially for students or general usage. It’s missing advanced features like pressure sensitivity and double-tap tool switching, so if you’re into digital art, there are better options—but for basic use, this pen performs admirably. The connectivity is instant. Battery life lasts a while, sometimes weeks with constant use. The design is perfect as it feels like a real pencil in your hand.

Great Apple alternative
Excellent low cost option for use with iPad 10th gen. I use daily to take notes with GoodNotes and this pencil works flawlessly. Since the 10th gen doesn't have pencil charging built in, I experience zero difference in using this pencil vs. an Apple branded pencil.Only detracting one star because the little plug for the charging port is tiny and ultra easy to lose. Really wish they sent spares with the pencil or even sold packs of replacements. Would gladly spend a few bucks to have a bag of them on hand for when they disappear.
