Great treadmill!
I’ve always been skeptical of treadmills. I’ve been afraid a treadmill would just take up space and collect dust. I’ve run on treadmills before and generally feel somewhat self conscious about it because I’m a heel striker and that creates a lot of noise when running on treadmills. Almost all of my concerns have been absolved with the purchase of this treadmill.First off, the specs made it easy for me to decide which treadmill was right for me. Once purchased, the treadmill was slated to arrive 3 days after purchase but arrived a day early. The amazon delivery men were very helpful and careful with the package. I was very happy with the delivery. Fairly easy setup—instead of instructions, Echelon provides a QR code that takes you to a video walking you through how to assemble the treadmill. One thing that was the videos did NOT specify which size screws to use in which location—luckily there were only 2 sizes so it didn’t take long to figure out which went where; however, that could be a little clearer in the video. All in all, took about 30 min to put together. Set up can be done with one person, but I had 2 just to make it easier.Once assembled, the treadmill looks good! Good color scheme and a sleek body. Treadmill is aesthetically pleasing and quite. There is no fan, but was able to purchase a fan from amazon that works well. I’ve loved being able to run in my basement. I have the option to watch my favorite show or put on a class to challenge myself a bit more. My family is also getting into using it—my oldest son specifically who now has a goal to train for his first 5K race.Footprint is perfect. The treadmill folds up nicely and takes up hardly any room when stowed. Moves easily from one location to another. The power cord is a bit short, but I purchased a surge protector so that opened options as far as placement goes. .Lots of workout programs to choose from. Interface take a second to get used to, not difficult to learn. The treadmill has good safety features too--quick and smooth stop in the vent of an emergency. The running surface is smooth and has a bit of a give to it that makes for a smooth run. I feel no soreness after a run as the treadmill absorbs my weight well—generally after road runs I feel aches and stiffness.I’ve been very happy with the treadmill. As a physical therapist, this treadmill would also make a great addition to any clinic because of its safety features and ease of use.

Waiting for customer service
The media could not be loaded. The delivery team was great and careful, but the box came a bit ragged. Shipping must have been rough on this one.First thing: one of the main wheels is bent at the bracket so it doesn’t roll, it drags. It took a lot of effort to get it out of the box and then to an outlet without damaging the floor. Definitely not fulfilling its purpose as being a very “mobile” and compact treadmill. Dragging it out of the box scuffed it up a bit, but there’s also lots of scratches at certain points on the plastics that didn’t touch the floor.Second: removing the screen cover, the touchscreen was bubbled and scuffed, which makes it hard to use and view.Third: I ran it at walking speed and then running speed (the usual operation test), and there’s an audible rhythmic noise. A lag/delay with an accompanying scraping type of noise. Against my better judgement, I did try a few careful paces on it, and it does hesitate at that same noise/rhythm.I contacted customer support and will update if I can get a replacement shipped. If not, this will be a return. Shipping or manufacture issues? Decent product or nightmare? Depends how they respond.

Echelon treadmill
This treadmill is worth the investment. It was an easy assembly considering the belt and wires come attached. You will only have to attach the bar and screen. It is extremely heavy duty. EXTREMELY!!! One of my led lights does not work. I will macular check it out in the app before I call customer service. I’m still working my 30days. The only downfall I can see this far is the right capacity. The dimensions said it is 350lbs weight capacity but in reality it’s only 285lb weight capacity not to exceed 300lbs.Update: I just learned that the wires don’t not come attached.

Great Treadmill but awful technical support!
So I bought the Echelon Stride-S. I would rate this 5 stars because this is a great treadmill but the first one I got was a lemon and I was not impressed by Echelon’s technical support. The first treadmill I received would not start and gave me an “E00” message. I talked with Echelons customer service and they asked me to take a picture and send to them and they would get back to me the following week. I then called Amazon for possible technical help and they were able to get Echelon on the phone again and the support person said it was a faulty cord and they would order me a new one. Cord came on a week later, and got the same error code. I called Amazon and they offered to return and I ordered a new one. While the second treadmill was on the way, Echelons technical support for the first call in finally got back to me 2 weeks later and said the error code means the entire button panel needs to be replaced. I advised that I returned the first one and they apologized for the delay. The second treadmill works great! It’s compact, fairly quiet and really easy to use and I love the automatic incline. My only concern is if it breaks down, I know the technical support is not great so hoping it lasts a long time. So if you buy and get the “E00” error code, don’t bother with jt and just contact Amazon to get a new one because it is not worth the hassle.
