Overpriced cloth filter
Well it's just a cloth filter. Immediately got stained after first use. Not that surprising considering its cotton. But mold started to grow after using for a week. Returned it.

It works fine!
Had them for about 10 days and the coffee is good, maybe even better than with the paper filters.I did boil them before using it because another reviewer said there was sizing in the cloth -- but the water I boiled them in was totally clear, so maybe they were wrong.Filters fit perfectly into my (new) Hario V60. Easy to rinse out, then hang to dry. Having 2 works well for me -- rinse & hang to dry then use totally dry one from the previous day next. But if you make coffee more than once/day, you might want to have more than 2.They me happy because I didn't want to have to use paper filters and keep throwing them away.

great filters
You need to boil them before using and yes, the water does flow through quickly at first but I have found that it does not affect the taste of the coffee. The water will flow through less quickly after some use and once it gets too slow you know it is time for a new one. I rinse the filter after use then squeeze out the excess water and store in glass tupperware container in the freezer. Then just rinse in hot water when I want to use again. This was the instructions for the Hario woodneck filters I used until it the glass vessel broke and now it's the method I use with these filters and it seems to work best for freshness.

Looking to separate Whey from Yogurt? Look no further!
The media could not be loaded. I purchased these along with a pour over coffee maker to strain whey from yogurt. Results were quick and the whey was the clearest I've been able to produce at home. This worked much easier than using a sprout bag or cheese cloth and produces better results. The video I linked is part of a video I started to upload on YouTube. I originally thought it would take a 4-6hrs. In actuality, the yogurt was exactly the texture we wanted after about an hour and a half. We had to leave to run errands while separating our 3rd batch and when we returned the "yogurt" was much more like cream cheese. It was still tasty, but thicker than most people will probably aim for.

Amazing product, though I disagree with instructions
This works great for the Hario V60. Only thing I would disagree with are the maintenance instructions. I've found the repeated drying that is recommended on the box to be a recipe for mildew and mold, especially when it's humid and drying is slow.A better way to maintain these cloth filters (also recommended by James Hoffman and Hario for their cloth filters) that I've found is to soak it in a container of water and put it in the fridge (or freezer if you're not using it for a long time). This way you just need to rinse it simply before use, rinse with hot water, and the filter is good to go.I've used the filter for 3 months now, switching back and forth between this and paper filter (depending on the coffee and how I feel that day =D), and there hasn't been residual taste/off flavors at all yet.
