The ONLY dissatisfaction I have about this is that the main thread (for the wing nut) was slightly bent / not true.The ability of this device to adjust to varying door configurations places it above other competitors. Application and removal are simple and it takes no room/weight in luggage or a bag to take with you during travel.

Basic info:(1) If someone were trying to get in, it might buy you some time/alert you they were trying bc it'll take them longer to get in but won't keep anyone out. (2) If the door is your best exit during a fire, this makes it harder get out. (3) And if you rent and have a stingy landlord, they might try to take money out of your security deposit bc it damages the door and the trim. Not recommended: 0/10.More details:(1) This may work for a metal door or in a hotel room but is not safe or helpful if you actually expect it to work, I tested it by installing it, locking my door and had a friend try to get in from outside - it took him 12 tries at pushing the door with his hands and shoulder before the screw rattled out of position and fell on the floor. So this adds no security aside from a regular deadbolt and doorknob locks. It may give you some time to hide or call someone, but it won't keep anyone from getting in.(2) My place is street-level on a corner in a city, so there have always been bars on the windows. If there were a fire, I would not be able to get out in time bc so long to unscrew the bolt when you remove it. This would also just be extremely annoying if you're late for work or something.(3) If you have a wooden door, tightening it will leave an indent in the wood. My door is solid wood and it left and indent from the screw on the door and chiseled away some of the trim after only one use. Didn't try it on any other kind of door but it might poke a hole thru plywood and could cause landlords to withhold from your security deposit for repairs.
