Great for the price I overvolt this motors to 36v on my setup and they hold up fine still

I plan to use this in a kiddie car but so far I have only tested it with a dc power supply. It starts turning at less than 2 volts and speeds up smoothly as the voltage is increased. There are a bunch of similar motors available on Amazon and I am not sure if they are identical. In any case this one looks to be well made and it runs smoothly.It’s a brushed motor which means the brushes will wear out and I can’t see how they could be replaced. But at this price you just replace the motor when the brushes wear out because the bearings are probably also worn out at that point.

Sprocket size is incorrect

Both came out of the box fully functional and are still working. Two minor problems, first the sprocket does not fit a typical bike chain. The pitch is only 1/4in. Most bike chains are 1/2in. Second, I’m still not sure what size bolts will fit into the mounting points. And those holders are not super accessible.

I got this to motorize the carriage on my sawmill. Worked great and is really strong.
