How's the amp on these with the 846's? I have the BT2 and it's a touch too quiet

I have the Gen 1 version and plan to upgrade. These do amplify and there is no comparison to the BT2. These provide ample sound with the 846 that’s crisp and surprisingly close to a wired connection in sound quality. These have a companion app and voice control as well as on-demand ambient sound, none of which the BT2 has. Gen 2 adds moisture resistance and volume control.

What is the difference between Gen 1 and Gen 2?

Gen 2 has a tad bit of water resistance ipx4 but that’s just for the adapter and mic issues were fixed.

Do these adapters have a dac?

Yes, each TW2 Adapter has it's own Digital to Analogue Converter, or DAC. For more information, please visit the RMCE-TW2 page on the official Shure website.

Do they cut out loud sounds in environment mode?

Environment mode does not cancel sounds, instead environment mode allows you to accentuate the ambient noise around you. This is especially useful when you want to listen to music or are on a phone call, yet you still want to be aware of the sounds around you. The level of environment mode is adjustable in the ShurePlus PLAY App.
