Tubes are supplied in mainly 6082, smaller sizes can be In 6063. Aluminium alloy 6082 is a medium strength alloy with excellent corrosion resistance. It has the highest strength of the 6000 series alloys. Alloy 6082 is known as a structural alloy. In plate form, 6082 is the alloy most commonly used for machining. As a relatively new alloy, the higher strength of 6082 has seen it replace 6061 in many applications. The addition of a large amount of manganese controls the grain structure which in turn results in a stronger alloy. It is difficult to produce thin walled, complicated extrusion shapes in alloy 6082. In the T6 and T651 temper, alloy 6082 machines well and produces tight coils of swarf when chip breakers are used. Aluminium alloy 6063 is a medium strength alloy commonly referred to as an architectural alloy. It is normally used in intricate extrusions. It has a good surface finish, high corrosion resistance, is readily suited to welding and can be easily anodised. Most commonly available as T6 temper, in the T4 condition it has good formability. To gain your approx Inside Diameter Double the wall thickness and then subtract that number from the outside diameter. For example - 19mm OD x 10G/3mm Wall would be --- 19mm/Minus 6mm (Wall Thickness doubled) = 13mm Inside Dia

Perfect length and fit - Fast delivery
High quality product - not thin and cheap like others. I used the pole to fit my FRY's Weather vane. It fitted snuggly - exactly 50mm in diameter, as that was what I had ordered. Will definitely order from this company again. Happy customer.

The seller's concerned response, by phone and email, that the product met my requirements. Used to build the top attachment to an aluminium mast for my new weather station, now in action on the roof. Will certainly use this seller for any similar future tubing/metal requirements. As noted by the seller, the tubes are imperial measure with the metric equivalent listed.

Not size advertised
The tube is of good quality, but mine was described as 25mm. It is actually 1 inch imperial size, therefore 25.4mm. This means it won't fit into a 25mm linear thrust bearing.
