Mine arrived with plastic film on top of the solar panel. Should I leave it on or take it off?

Does this work in winter?

If you have adequate amount of sunlight it should work great. I always feel safe having these lights incase we have our lights go out. They do not charge with inside light...only sunlight. Also, they have a port on the inside that you can charge with a cord and a USB port.

How many lumens does the light put out?

The SONNENGLAS® has 19 lumens. This corresponds to the brightness of 4 candles. You may perceive SONNENGLAS® to be brighter than this though. The light shines onto the bottom made of glass and is reflected from there which is what might lead to that impression. Sunny regards, Daniel, SONNENGLAS®
