A much needed resource for the new GCSE course
As a teacher of the new GCSE course, it's great to have a detailed resource to compliment the text book. The layout is standard for each of the chapters meaning its easy to locate what you are looking for. The colorful diagrams are engaging and the extra information will stretch the G&T pupils. The key terms are listed throughout the book to remind pupils of their importance. The test yourself questions focus pupils' on their revision and the exam questions are really useful (for both teachers and pupils) considering the exam board has produced very little in the way of SAMs. The end of chapter summaries are succinct and this book will be useful throughout the year for both planning and revision.

Achieve the new top grades ....
Clearly this book has been written as an alternative textbook as opposed to a typical revision guide, much like the authors A level equivalent publication. If you are looking for a revision guide that simply summarises information then this book is not for you. However, if like me you want something that will support and stretch you and your students in achieving the new top grades from a well established and reliable source then look no further.Happy to recommend!

Ideal
I bought it as an overview of the GCSE course. I found it helpful and interesting.

I cannot believe that Edexcel have endorsed this book!!!
This is not a revision guide but more importantly it is not accurate. This book is full of extra information that the students don't need to know for the exam (which is lovely but when the course is so content heavy, extra information is not particularly helpful). The exam questions are so far from the type of exam questions that would come up in the exam it's unreal. This will overwhelm and panic students and teachers. I cannot believe that Edexcel have endorsed this book - the writer has not worked on the new specification and it is evident that I have done more research than he has to know how the exam will look. Do not trust this book. Sara Lomax - Head of Psychology in NW London.

Excellent resource for students and teachers
With application and examples throughout, this book allows my weaker students to gage a better understanding of concepts, whilst stretching the more able students to further their knowledge. Exam style Qs have allowed students to better prepare for the exam. Key terms and test yourself sections make for quick reviews of learning. An excellent resource for both students and teachers.

Just what my students needed.
Got the odd mistake like most textbooks. More importantly the exam questions at the end of each chapter actually future proof me and my students as to what may come, as the the specification inevitably evolves. So much depth it's a great reference to add further A01 and A03 points to supplement weaker areas for my students Written by a trusted Edexcel expert.

No answers available!
The book itself has been fine for revising, but there are no answers provided for the practice exam questions. Huge disappointment.
