This is the best upgrade for a 10 speed MTB. I needed to make room on my Scott Carbon MTB for a dropper post cable.So I removed my 3x10 front shifter and derailleur to allow for the internal routed dropper seat cable.THAT being said I needed to make up for the lost of range from the removal of 2 of the 3 rings. SO this ONEUP 2 cog replacement is a PERFECT range increase and life saver for help in very steep climbs. The additional of the 42 low end gear really is a perfect granny gear. Also, the included 16 cog allows for smooth shifting for the high end speeds.I got the Green 42T which looks great with my Shimano Ultegra cassette. I added a Green Raceface 32T single ring upfront to match... LOOKS Awesome and gives better high speed ratio. So overall I would recommend this ONEUP setup for those that like their 10 speed MTB but want to go to a 1x10 and don't want to spend over $1000 for a 1x11 or 1x12 setup....

Great product. Get the RADR cage though.
Awesome product. Its a great solution to replacing my whole drivetrain when I went 1x. I do recommend getting the one up RADR cage. It makes a huge difference when shifting.
