Excellent Sprayer!
I've used this sprayer several times now and I love it! I've always hated spraying because of what it does to my back with toting it around, agitating it, bending to pump it, and trying to spray the undersides of the leaves. While this sprayer can't help with reaching under leaves, it does help with both pumping and agitation. Since I only have to bend slightly to pump (I'm 5'8" after all), that cuts down substantially on the bending. Since the pump handle is high I can agitate by simply rocking the canister from a standing position instead of lifting the whole thing and trying to shake it, as I had to do with my old sprayer. I was a bit concerned that going from a 1 gallon to a 2 gallon sprayer would cause my back more pain, but it turns out that the worst issue of weight wasn't carrying it to the plants, it was lifting it constantly to keep it agitated. So now that I can do that with the canister on the ground, the extra weight of an additional gallon isn't such a big deal. Besides, I have extensive gardens so 2 gals. gets the job done without having to refill the sprayer 4 times as I did with my old 1 gal sprayer, with all the bending that goes with that. The pressure release valve is new to me and is a wonderful convenience! I've had no problems with the canister sealing properly or leaking air as others have reported. Mine also came with a brass spray nozzle- one reviewer complained that his did not. Perhaps he didn't look for it carefully enough- mine was packed loose inside the sprayer while all the other parts were in a plastic bag. The only thing I could ask for to improve this sprayer would be for the handle assembly to be just a bit longer. Tall folks will still have to bend a bit to pump, but from a senior with a bad back, it is a vast improvement over conventional pump sprayers.

Nice standing hand pump sprayer.
I had a discontinued 2 gallon Gilmour standing pump sprayer for years and really liked it over the traditional pump in tank style. Bought this to replace it and got the 3 gallon size. It is a bit taller than I expected, but works well. If I buy another, I will likely go with the 2 gallon size again to match my normal hand height better.

Best sprayer I have ever used
So easy to use--I no longer have to bend over to pump. And it seals well without having to struggle to tighten it. I always struggled with other pumps. Great product--thank you!!

Great extended sprayer
I needed a taller sprayer due to back trouble. This one is perfect!

Hose too short
The hose it too short. It kinda makes the "Stand N Spray" feature obsolete, as you have to pick it up to move it every 5 seconds. Also, doesn't have a fan nozzle adaptor, or at least mine never came with one.The pro-series 3 gallon sprayer is a superior product, but unfortunately the price has gotten out of control. If you absolutely need a sprayer, and this is on sale, it will do; but I wouldn't purchase again at full price.

No back pain or bending over.
This replaced a True Value Greenthumb unit. I love the pump being external (up out of the solution) since I use the sprayer with corrosive solutions that are stored in the sprayer. The external pump o-rings do not deteriorate due to storing the solution in the tank. No headache. Push no back issues bending over to pump up the tank. Easy to carry. Highly recommend.

Engineering Design Flaw
I normally write positive product reviews, but I would give this sprayer zero stars if that were possible. I liked the concept of 3 gallon capacity and stand and spray, but this unit is unusable and also presents a potential safety hazard due to a significant design engineering flaw in the pump handle. I assembled the sprayer with no problem, but when I pressurized it and tried to lock the pump handle 1/4 turn per the manual it only moved about 1/4 inch and didn't lock into place at all. I examined it closely and saw the pump assembly had two very small tabs that moved into notches, but the notches were only about 1/4" deep. I started walking with the sprayer and after a couple of steps the pump handle disengaged from the tiny notches and the sprayer tank dropped to the ground. I called Chapin and explained the problem and the tech support agent acknowledged the pump handle only engaged into the notches about 1/4" in spite of what the manual stated, but that it should click into place. Mine didn't so he sent me a new pump/handle assembly, but it was the same as the original and disengaged from the notches with and without liquid in the tank. I have owned many pump sprayers over the years for work and at home, and they all fully locked into place after pressurization unlike this Chapin model. There is no strap or auxiliary handle to carry the Chapin, so you have to carry it with the pump handle but it is impossible to do so. Since you are toting about 25 pounds of chemical solution that is sloshing around this becomes a safety issue due to a potential chemical spill or personal injury when the tank drops to the ground and throws the user off balance. I contacted Chapin a second time to see if they had a different pump handle assembly that locked into place that would work with this unit, but they did not so I returned the sprayer for full reimbursement. If Chapin corrected this design flaw I would certainly consider purchasing another sprayer, but the current design makes the unit unusable.
