Meister Professional Heavy Bag Spring for Punching Bags up to 250lb - Black

I bought this for use with a heavy bag stand as a way to try and reduce noise. It had mixed results. It absorbs some shock and causes the frame of the stand to move a little less and reduced *that* noise, but the sound of the spring rubbing against a metal hook was quite screechy and bad. That was largely fixed by making sure my mount hook was sideways (if one stands directly in front of the bag) and the attachment points of the spring were parallel to me. That way, when the bag moves it will mostly roll forward like a wheel.As for the optional carabiner - it added way too much length (lowered the bag) and it's a pretty beefy one. I replaced it with a $3 1/2" carabiner from Lowe's (because Home depot donates to trump). My heavy bag came with 1/4" carabiners so the load capacity should be fine (1/2" is rated at like 800lbs anyways).Overall, the spring is great for what it is meant for, just be mindful about your setup and measure your current suspension apparatus's length. You might need a similar spring that's shorter to keep the bag at the right height.

I actually bought 4 of these which may have been overkill but I'm using a Heavybag stand and it made lots of noise. Once I bought these 4 springs and put 50lbs on each eight peg for the stand POOF!!! 90% of the noise was gone and bag swing was cut by 60-70%! Still thinking of getting rid of the stand and using a ceiling mount but that has nothing to do with the springs they do their job great!

The spring is very strong and does not sag with my 70 lb bag hanging from it. I purchased it to reduce the amount of noise in then house from me hitting the punching bag. I have my bag hanging from a 6x6 beam in my garage and I'm told that in the bedrooms upstairs, it sounds like a "twang" or what you'd probably imagine a spring should sound like when being used in this manner. I would definitely recommend this to reduce the noise in the rest of the house when hitting the heavy bag.My only issue is that the loops at the end aren't super tight together which makes it too big to use on my Firstlaw wood beam heavy bag hanger by itself, i had to use another hook between this and the wood beam heavy bag hanger which made the bag hang lower. Not a huge deal tho.

This spring works very well. We bought my son a 70 lbs heavy bag and heard allot of noise coming from the garage when he was using it (we have a bonus room immediately above the garage). Once we installed the spring; the noise and any impact is greatly reduced. definitely worth it and easy to install. See picture. Thanks!

I have been a martial artist for over 20 years and a boxer over 10 so I have gone through a number of heavy bags and thus a number of heavy bag accessories and all I can say is, this spring is a beast. I got it for a 200+ aqua bag and it handles it no problem.The length being shorter is something that I like as my ceilings are only 9ft.

Could not ask for me, just hung a 100 pound bag in my garage and this makes it so virtually NO vibration is sent upwards. Super happy once I got it hung and hit the bag to the tune of silence. Would never hang a bag without one again.

I used this in my garage on a 100lb hydrostrike bag.Without the spring, any impact on the bag would rattle the garage door and throwing any hard strikes that actually made the bag lift up and drop made the whole building shake.I put the spring on and it was dead silent for the first couple of weeks of every other day usage.Its starting to make some noise again so im assuming the spring isnt quite as tight anymore but i would still buy it again.When it was brand new it was absolutely perfect.

I've got a hundred pound bag and when I used a chain it was a loud thumping nightmare. This spring makes all the difference in the world

you can't go wrong with this for hanging your punching bag. it s sturdy and strong all the way through and great to absorb vibration from your punching on the bag. my only caveat is that the spring could have been easier to use

I almost never write these reviews. But I have to on this one as it made a huge difference. I decided to invest in a heavy bag for my garage gym. Initially I anchored it directly to the ceiling joists with a chain and it was soooo loud in our townhouse. Also the bag tended to sway wildly. This simple spring reduced the noise to almost nothing and almost completely eliminated the bag sway. You can’t go wrong for the price!

Used this to hang 100lb heavy bag at home. Seems very heavy duty, and does what it's supposed to do.
