I'm not sure what you mean by oily, but the product is ground coffee, not whole beans. I didn't find the grounds to be particularly oily, but man! The coffee is good! If you're looking for great coffee grounds, I can recommend this highly.

No, just like putting a loaf of bread in the freezer or refrigerator, the moister gets pulled out and the coffee gets dries out and will lose flavor.
