I looked at reviews of several shredders. I liked this as one said that if you can get it into the hopper it will shred it - it does!I have a couple of concerns though. If large sticks are fed in, the machine pulls them in due to the way that it works - this is great most of the time. If a branch is twisted or has bulges from side branches, these can be pulled in and if they don't go into the widest part of the slot, will deform and crack the grey plastic on top - this has happened and will need to be replaced before any damage occurs to the underlying structures - I think this should have been a much thicker plastic.At first the collecting box takes a bit of fiddling to get it in, but after a couple of goes it isn't a problem. I wonder how the plastic will hold up over time and hope that it will not go brittle. One small niggle is that all the shredded waste comes out at one end, so you have to shake it to even it out, but this is typical of this type of shredder.I previously had an impact shredder. This one is quieter, more efficient and doesn't get blocked. I think it is well worth the extra money.

We bought this to help deal with a large amount of chunky prunings from a very overgrown beech hedge. It has been brilliant, turning everything into excellent wood chip for the chickens to dig about in. There was a problem after a couple of hours use with the inside plate cracking, meaning the blade was no longer held tightly and therefore not cutting. The seller's response was impeccable - arranging collection, replacing the faulty part, and having her back with us all within 5 working days.

Amazing piece of gardening kit, I wanted a decent shredder and not too expensive, £240 well worth it, invested at the beginning of the pandemic and have managed to mulch down my hedges to fit in my green bin.Container just the right size as if any bigger would be too heavy to lift to empty.I would definitely recommend Grizzly products.

Very quick delivery, arrived within 36 hours of ordering.Easy assembly - took about 20 mins and spanner/hex key provided.Well made, substantial unit, chomps it's way through branches up to around 40mm as per the spec.Overall I'm very happy with the shredder which is very good value and I'd certainly recommend it for domestic use.

The machine works well but tends to cut large twigs not chop in to small pieces .The switch on the collection box which is a safety cut out is very fiddly to engage and the machine just stops if the collection box fills at one end and must be shaken level .The assembly is time consuming but once put together it appears well made.

Fast delivery,great product,works well and very quiet. Shreds some fairly large stuff,emptying basket works well.

It's not silent as advertised in bold letters on the box, but it does do a good job (good enough for me anyway) It doesn't chop the branches into small pieces, it breaks them up, some of the pieces are about 2"/3" long (50mm/75mm)But definitely good enough for me. No problem with branches up to 30/35mmHaven't tried anything bigger as yet.Loses 1 star because of the noise. Advertised as silent, but it is not.

I've only used it twice but ,it chews through branches / twiggy of my cut down trees .
