NO-I have never had them expire ONLY they will dry up occasionally and then I just re-dip in little water and they are good as new.

No they do not, they are very good at removing stains and gentle on clothing.

Will it remove pencil marks from walls?

I've never used it for that. I use Mr. Clean magic eraser for that.

can you use it on sofa fabric?

I have tried on sofa fabric and it works beautifully.
