The pen is heavy in weight. Of jinhao loss it's weight like lamy then it best Lamy Safary.

built quality and writing pleasure is good for the money charged.. there is some scratchy feeling while writing compared to lamy al star pen.. otherwise its a best writing instrument to begin with for your fountain pen journey

First the bad thing: the converter screw stops at the mid level. It is stuck. I guess I shall replace it with one in my collection. I shall try it with cartridges also.Now the good part: The looks ...it is fresh. The marble like glossy finish gives it a rich feel. The golden clip and the rings on cap and barrel add to the beauty.It is heavy just as I like. Nicely balanced without posting. I don't like posting and as others have said, posting is going to ruin its finish.The nib is medium to broad. It says it is 18k gold plated. Looks beautiful.The feed is plastic. Nothing special.Writing: On 100 gsm paper it writes wet. It is super smooth out of the box.

Very beautiful and good fountain pen for beginners. It is recommended for those who wants to test that they can use a fountain pen in their daily working. If you get a hang of it you can graduate to better brands.

On the heavier side for the beginners.But if like me , you can handle an Instrument to Write ,which is little Heavy and has bit more than a Medium tip, then this Fountain Pen, with a Silky Flow, is the one you're going to fall in Love.Comes with a satisfactory quality Converter and a good body finish.Found it perfect for me, only feel it could be a little lighter in weight.
